NBA pre-draft and prospects thread
DBAHO replied to CubsSuck1's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
There's been rumors of Orlando actually trading the pick for Pau Gasol of Memphis, or trading down with Atlanta for their 1st pick and Jason Terry. Rite now I think if the Magic trade down, it'll be with Charlotte for the best big they pick in the expansion draft, and then the Magic can take Shawn Livingston. -
It got some controversy down here since it got a M rating, forcing parents to decide whether or not they want their kids to see it or not.
-
If we notice u go missin there Greasy, we at least know you scored alrite.

I had the Leffe golden and the Leffe bruges while I was over there, probably preferred the golden a bit more but they were both very nice. My dad is currently over in Malaysia and he extremely enjoyed the beer and wanted me to find some more info on it for him, it was recommended to us by his boss. Thanx for the info.
-
Unitl KW and the farm directors figure out they shouldn't bring up pitchers afta only pitching once in 9 days, they shouldn't call up any1 period.
-
Jim, Another Beer question here, when I was in Malaysia a few months ago, I had a very nice Belgium Beer called a Leffe Beer I think. You could get it in 3 kinds, a Leffe Blond which was the light beer, the Leffe Bruges which was a bit heavier, and a darker Leffe which was very heavy. Just wondering if you had ever tried it bf, one of the foreign beers I've ever had, almost tasted like a creamy soda I thought.

I watched an ER episode last week where a 13 year old boy was experimenting havin sex without condoms with 4 girls his own age. :headshake

Joe had a lot of back and quadricep problems earlier on in the year, and that was hindering him quite a lot. Once he got betta though, he really started tearin it up for the Knights. I think for the most part he's been extremely unlucky. Reed's wrist injury also showed what an injury can do to a player's numbers.
-
Paulie's been hittin well at the #5 spot, I'd leave him there with Gload or Valentin at #6. Lee seems to be hittin betta as well at the #4 spot and we need him to now.
-
I'm sure Steve will still make a new sig for ya Steff.

Hope it all went well, now u can concentrate on playin Out of the Park Baseball again.

Yeah I just realised afta I posted the article that u had already posted one on the same topic. My bad, comfirms what the M's are prob lookin for though.

From the Seattle Times, As the Mariners tinker with their roster and ponder remedies in the midst of this dismal season, it is increasingly clear that one decision — the future of Freddy Garcia—looms paramount. The popular assumption is that Garcia might as well pack his bags now, because he is as good as gone prior to the July 31 trading deadline. According to this line of thinking—and it's a valid one, following industry protocol—he is their most marketable player, an ace pitcher in a league that treasures them, especially in a pennant race. But those convinced it's a slam dunk the Mariners can parlay Garcia, a pending free agent, into a treasure trove of young prospects on the verge of stardom, might have a rude awakening. In recent days, I canvassed several general managers on Garcia's trade value, promising anonymity in exchange for frank assessments. The consensus of the group, which included GMs from both leagues, is that it is exceedingly difficult to get fair market value for a "rent-a-player," regardless of talent level. One GM predicted the White Sox as the likeliest trade partner, suggesting some combination of young pitcher Jon Rauch and outfielders Aaron Rowand and Joe Borchard, a former Stanford QB, as possible returns. "They'll be able to move him," added a GM, "but odds are against getting fair value. Still, anything is better than nothing."

You'll be glad to know the D-Rays are thinkin of releasin him at this moment, hence why Fred McGriff was called up.
-
Still the Twinkies worry me immensely, when Mauer and Koskie get back into the lineup, they'll start scoring a lot more runs. Jacque Jones has been in a slump too. And Johan Sanatana has had a terrible start to the year, we all know how good his 2nd half of the season was last year.

U neva heard of that song from her did ya.

Yeah they need pitching prospects big time, they'll prob go for pitching early, with their 1st pick mayb one of the Rice 3some.
