LOL, I hav a lot of memories from playin Tennis, sum of the best times of my life. The thing is with Tennis though is that u hav to practise every week to keep ur skill level up, I use to hav a really good backhand a few years ago when I had lessons, could always seem to hit it low and hard ova the net, and now when I try, and I can't seem to transfer my weight quick enough, and to get my feet planted when I hit a backhand. It used to be my best shot, and now it's my worst.
  4. I thought Shingo looked impressive, D-Ray hitters seemed to hav no idea what to do against him. Afta today though I'm most worried about Cotts. Ozzie had no right to pull him afta he only gav up 1 single, I just hope it doesn't affect his confidence much, because he's done really well in spring training and in Yankee Stadium in his only otha appearance.
  5. Yeah and to think I got up at 9 a.m for this. :headshake
  6. Most ppl don't remember in 2002, Dan Wright didn't really come on strong until the 2nd half of the season, and that's where he won the vast majority of his 14 games. Against a better offence, he probably would hav had worse numbers, but he was also fairly unlucky as well, since all 3 runs from his 4 hits that he gave up came from homers.

One of my finest tennis moments eva, about 5 years, playin another school, and I was playin a really crap dude. Well he just gettin it back and back, no matta how hard i'd hit it again. Eventually I got so frustrated, I smashed by new Wilson Pro Racket so hard against the Ashvelt Concrete, the top of the frame smashed in half. My coach, who was my tutor last year in high school, made my apologise to my opponent and their coach.
  8. Also Bryant Nelson has been a big suprise so far. Seems to be hav the 2nd base job to himself and is a DH sumtimes as well. Battin leadoff, and hittin ova .300. Last year he was in Japan playin for Daiei, he only hit .228 ova there. He played 25 games in Boston though in 2002 hittin .265
  9. The way is Rowand is strugglin at pitches low and away, if Reed keeps hittin like this, I think we could see a change quite soon. Borchard has slumped in the last few games, but it's still only early. Hopefully he can pick it back up.
  10. Spurs ova Pistons seems to be the popular pick this year.
  11. And I just picked him up in one of my fantasy leagues yesterday for sum saves. I think he'll be traded like Sully was last year (I wouldn't rule us out, if we need a closer) and Ryan Wagner will be closin for em bf the year is out.

Hav u smahed a racket in frustration yet Alex?
  13. If Danny gives up only 3 runs in every outing he makes, I'd take that. He doesn't deserve to be 0-2, Loaiza's pitched as bad as him so far this year, and he's 2-0, only because he's had run support.
  14. Yeah exactly rite, our hitters need to learn the art of patience. Maggs finally did in the 8th, gettin a walk, and then Frank swung at the 1st pitch he saw ending the inning. But Frank got a hit and 2 walks today, so he's the last person we should blame.
  15. Let's hope Ozzie lights a fire under all their asses.
  16. I'd be up for sum MVP Baseball 2004, if I had da game.
  17. Lee gets the dreaded lead off walk.
  18. Ozzie replaces a hot Mr. Zero with Billy Botch. Inning recap Fick flies out to right Huff grounds out to pitcher Cruz strikes out lookin. Last chance for a rally.
  19. 1st pitch, Thomas lines out to 2nd. :headshake
  20. Rowand goes fishin at a ball outside the strike zone. 2 down.
