Camp threw every pitch to the outside corner. We never stood a chance. -

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 07:20 PM) You mean having a guy that has been one of the best starters in baseball when healthy? Sure, having the 93-95mph Peavy would make this start more bearable. But he just looked atrocious not only with his control, but his stuff overall. He hasn't had to adjust himself due to a lost in velocity, and I'd like it if we' wouldn't have to experience it for a few seasons. -

This is embarrassing. Peavy is pitching like a woman. Not only does he surrender two, two run leads (immediately after his team scores), but he cannot locate his fastball; or his slider. -
Let's get it started.

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 06:11 PM) I guess there is a lot of booing Alex going on already (Rios) Ozzie rips Toronto, while ripping Cleveland (for booing Jim Thome over time) and Chicago media host. per Gonzales, Cowley I hate whenever this issue comes up with any player when they face a team they previously played for. It's just so annoying, the same damn talking points brought up again and again. Always the, "How will the fans react?" questions, followed by the inevitable angry poster who can't stand that someone would boo an opposing player. Personally, I really don't care, and in fact, hope for whatever reaction irritates the most people. I think this issue personally annoys me more than any other because it just....doesn't....matter. For anything. When I see a tear streaming down the cheek of a player when a fan base boos him, then I may change my opinion. -

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 10:59 PM) Neither of those three will be on the team next season. Awesome, now let them remain healthy so we're not having any surprises. No last resorts because every other trade/FA option falls through. -

How I feel is if we're destined to not make the playoffs this season, just get it out of the way early. Let us be 15+ out of 1st place come June. Also, I want Vizquel, Kotsay, Pieree, Jones all to remain healthy so we know definitively where we stand with them come next season. The WORST that can happen is if any of the four are injured and we bring them back against next season, based upon the hope of what they'd do in '10. -

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 09:15 PM) Why would u even consider bringing in Linebrink ahead of Santos? Tonight will be one of the last nights that happens intentionally. -

Well, for one, you have to download the program. That's one more step than just having a link. Next, it doesn't look pretty. Most importantly, there are no awesome sound clips to help express my emotions.

Even having watched Butler destroy UIC in person this year, I'm rooting for them to defeat Duke. It's unbelievable to think of a team from the Horizon League winning the championship.

This is where you begin to lose my support. And this doesn't count as post #2. -
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 2, 2010 -> 12:54 PM) No offense, but can we let 2005 go? At least when it comes to predicting future success for this team? 2005 was 5 years ago. That year didn't kick-start some kinda dynasty. If it were up to me the numbers 2005 would be filtered. Everything went together right for us that year, and even if it was the same exact team with the same exact stats every year since there's no guarantee they'd win the World Series again. In a time long ago, projections that went against our team (that I felt were unjust) would irritate me. Whether it's against our team or not, I just don't pay any attention to it. I hold all my anger for the chat room during the season.

QUOTE (The Gooch @ Mar 29, 2010 -> 10:56 PM) I find King of The Hill absolutely hilarious and I still watch the reruns on cartoon network when I have time. I'm sorry they canceled it, especially since the Simpsons are still on. Being on this long has definitely hurt the shows legacy. It was "the" animated show in the 90's, but it has just gotten so ridiculously bad. It doesn't matter how much longer they go, they took it too far years ago. I agree with King of the Hill, I've followed it since it began. What I hate, and it's the same with Simpsons reruns, is I rarely come across an episode I haven't already seen. Usually with the Simpsons and KOTH it'll have to be a newer episode from within the last two years, when work and drinking conflicted with Sunday television viewing. I honestly believe the Simpsons has been strong these last two seasons. Their material is a lot sharper and wittier than previous years. There was a period, from probably 2004-2007, where nearly every episode I viewed was unbearable. I can at least tolerate it enough to forsake valuable DVR space on Sundays. Until now, I've probably seen two episodes of Futurama. There are 30 episodes of the show backlogged on my DVR that I have yet to watch. I don't know what it is about the show, but it's as if I always have intentions of watching it, yet something else comes up that I feel is more important and I ignore it. That's basically how I viewed the show when it was on FOX, and now Cartoon Network.

I had all four wisdom teeth removed at different times, but it was the last one that left a lasting impression because it was the most painful experience of my life. Most of the tooth was beneath the gums, so what the oral surgeon had to do was cut open my gums AND break apart the tooth because it couldn't be removed in one tug. I was honestly crying it was so painful, even with local anesthetic. Afterward my jaw was swollen for nearly two weeks, and there was a small void left over from the removal of the tooth. I had to take special care with brushing my teeth, including gargling with salt water, and additionally had to make sure food didn't accumulate in the indentation and cause infection. I'd say it took 5-6 months for the hole to cover up. I always had this fear that the hole would cover up with some piece of food lodged in haha.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Mar 25, 2010 -> 03:34 PM) So just so I understand this better, you're saying you slept with your current girlfriend's best friend shortly after you started hooking up with your girlfriend? And to the best of your knowledge, she doesn't know this? Yeah, that does sound like a spicy meatball. Although in my world, until two people are officially dating everything is fair game. His gf probably doesn't feel that way, but I guarantee she wouldn't have been able to keep it bottled up had she known. It would have been thrown out in the open already.

There have been times I have supported failure for the purpose of the greater good (ie, losing games in 2007 for a higher draft pick). If having Guillen's skewed logic of favorable pitcher/hitter matchups fails miserably, but it means he learns from it (mainly, how to read simple splits), I'll support a White Sox loss. I realize there's no guarantee this happens, but embarrassment may be warranted to help our manager understand what makes the most sense for his team. One of the worst scenarios that can happen this year is if some combination of Vizquel, Kotsay, Jones, Pierre are injured, and we just delay making a decision on them for another season. I want to exit 2010 knowing exactly where we stand with those players, with absolutely no excuses to prevent us from either retaining them or moving on.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 25, 2010 -> 08:42 AM) I watched The House of the Devil. 2009 horror film that is filmed to look like it was made in the late 70's / ealry 80's. Its really amazing how much it feels like something that came out 25 years ago. It's a really good movie that uses suspense and tension to scare you. Ah, you just reminded me of that movie. I read good reviews on Bloody-Disgusting, in my opinion the most trusted site for horror reviews. I'm driving up to Blockbuster later to rent it.

There is no reason for her to talk to this guy if she's being exclusive to you. Her admitting contact could be interpreted several ways -- she feels the need to be open and honest, as proof of her devotion; or, what is the more likely scenario, she's testing your reaction. For what reason I can't guess, it could be to see if she can push the envelope; or to see if, in her mind, you love her enough to step up. Basically a, "it's a sign if he isn't upset about this" mindset. Women don't use logic with attraction and love; it could be a ridiculous reason for telling you or a sign of impending trouble. Personally GT, I'd confront her about it. Not angrily, but as others have suggested, in a way that makes it clear that you don't approve. What exactly does she have to be upset about, that you understandably question the motives for her being in contact with someone she has hooked up with in the past? Turn the tables, how do you think she'd react to you being a contact with a past girlfriend or hookup? Iamshack is right, if she's going to whore herself out it's going to be happen; but I'd rather her do it knowing full well how I feel before she starts crying after the breakup. What I figure is, if you limit the opportunities for the two to meet, you've. I'd be concerned about a, "well, he doesn't care that we talk, what harm could meeting him do?" approach.
