  1. Throw Yermin out there for a few games. His bat could easily offset his defense.
  2. Abreu would never allow that to happen. He won't be a DH and he won't bat below 5th
  3. Your OPS argument is a joke. EE has a lower OPS due to his early years. Take a look at recent years and it is no contest. EE >>> Abreu. If you are so confident, put your money where your mouth is and lets wager a ban bet on it.
  4. Who will be the more productive hitter this year, Abreu or EE?
  5. EE has looked phenomenal from what I have seen. I was scared he would hit a wall due to age, but he has looked awesome. He very well could be the best hitter on the team.
  6. Oh, so Canada is too good to have any Americans go there right now? Screw em. Strip them of the "Toronto" in their name this year or don't let them play.
  7. Beat it, Bosley. Bring your bad juju elsewhere
  8. These are good points. You've convinced me that not only do the Sox need Ozzie, but the league does. Ozzie wouldn't kept his mouth shut while the Astros cheated against the Sox. He would have have said something and gotten the conversation started much sooner. The league needs a manager like Ozzie again.
  9. Ozzie deserves a 2nd chance. He brought this team a world series for gods sake. We currently have a certified clown as our manager, yet we won't consider Ozzie? I'm with @greg775 on this one. The sport is too PC now a days. A brash man's man like Ozzie won't get another shot.
  10. @greg775's most hated relief pitcher
  11. 37-23. I'm throwing down a bet for them to win the WS. 25:1 odds? You better believe I'm taking that. I'm betting the mobile home on this one.
  12. I think the defense has potential to be solid. Yoan, TA, and Madrigal all have above average potential on defense. Abreu is obviously horrendous and lazy at 1B. Robert will be an absolute stud out there. Eloy and Mazara, meh. Bottom line is the Sox have guys who are already above average or have the ability to be above average at the difficult positions. They'll be fine on defense.
  13. Anybody with half a brain can see that was an awful contract. Completely unnecessary. i will be surprised if we don't have a 1st baseman (Vaughn) and a DH (Yermin, Collins) that are better than him by next year.
  14. At least we can have a short leash with him. Not sure Ricky will do that, but we'll see. I assume EE, Abreu or Grandal get injured at some point too honestly. There will be at bats to go around.
  15. Collins oppo taco. There we go.
  16. Gavin Sheets is a non prospect at this point.
  17. Seby is behind Yermin at this point. I'm not even sure if Collins is above Yermin anymore.
  18. That thing was a hammer when it was good. If he has that thing along with his fastball, changeup, and slider.... game ova.
  19. Is it me, or does Abreu look like he is in damn good shape? Doesn't look like he has a gut, arms have decent definition. Bravo, Jose...
  20. Is our pitching coach too busy playing psychiatrist with the media to help his own pitchers? Coop needs to go.
  21. Yermin has been treated completely unfairly by this front office so far
  22. Coop needs to go the way of Herm. Get him the hell out.
  23. Back in the day, men would be working 12 hour shifts if the coal mines. They'd be breathing in coal dust with a smidge of oxygen. The specimen who looks like Thor can't pitch for hundreds of thousands?
  24. I really question his testicular fortitude as well.
