I can see Jerry Reinsdorf refusing out of principle - even with the low payroll and with Ishbia taking over in the near future. It's a total Reinsdorf move to refuse to give that much to a player that hasn't proved it in the MLB. Like how he is with giving pitchers big contracts.

"Pray to god it's not Boozer" is way too dramatic. Look at the stats the kid out up as a Freshman against the top competition. His number are stupid. Sure he doesn't have the athleticism Wilson has, but the guy is the most likely pick to become a multiple time all-star in this draft. Very high floor. Very skilled player already. And look at the players dominate the current NBA without relying on athleticism. Luka, Jokic, SGA, Brunson, Cunningham. I'll be happy with Boozer or Wilson. The athleticism of Wilson is tantalizing. I'd probably prefer him due to his defensive upside, which we need when we have Giddey. But Boozer looks like a lock to be a multiple time all-star to me. Giddey and Boozer P&R would be deadly.

Sucks that the Giants are going to outbid us and get him. They'll really like him in San Fran.

My thoughts as well. He showed he can have a solid K rate last year. But the guy has an OPS of 1.100. Why in the hell would we keep him in A+ the entire season when he is demolishing the pitching? That just seems silly to me.

Hell yeah. @Sleepy Harold @Y2Jimmy0 if you were gambling men, when do you think Bonemer will be in AA? Feels like the guy is destined to be one of the top ranked prospects in the league this year.

I suppose with Roch coming that way be likely. I haven't watched much baseball this year yet, but Colson is 2nd in Statcast's Fielding Run Value for shortstops this year. Still early of course, but the defensive metrics rank him pretty highly in his career so far. I'm not sure they move him off SS if he is playing great defense.

For some reason I assumed he was destined for 3B in the majors. Would obviously be great if he could play adequately at 2B.
