My/Your Off Season Plan
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Oct 5, 2015 -> 10:36 AM) Q for Frazier would be awful. I'm not opposed to trading for Frazier, but Q being involved doesn't make any sense. I agree. We can definitely create a package that doesn't include Q. It'll be interesting what the Reds do because they literally have 0 pitching and 0 bullpen outside of Chapman. Their offense is still solid but aging.

JB Shuck
Shuck definitely earned a spot on this team next year as a 4th OFer.

2015-2016 NFL Thread
QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Oct 4, 2015 -> 09:34 PM) It'd be wise for the Bears to sell the farm. Young wants out? Great. I'd deal any and everybody, especially Martellus, Forte and Alshon. Wasn't a huge fan of Kevin White or trading Brandon Marshall in the first place from a football perspective, but I'd trade White if he had some value. Everyone must go. They're rebuilding but you don't trade Alshon or White. They're at least building blocks to the offense. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 4, 2015 -> 10:37 PM) Could the Art Briles Baylor 5 wide offense work in the NFL? I always figured the pro rosters were too talented top to bottom, so it was much harder to find a weakness. Teams have adopted the spread, but nowhere near that agressively. No way. That offense is so easy that NFL teams would pick it apart. You really don't see many NFL players come from Baylor on offense because they can't read a defense or run routes properly. Someone asked draft scout Matt Miller last night if Bryce Petty is 1 to 2 years away to maybe play. Matt Miller said he's that far away from reading an NFL defense. Not all players are like that, but Baylor's system is so easy that you really don't need to think at all.

Willie Young has requested a trade. I think we can get a 5th for him.

My/Your Off Season Plan
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 4, 2015 -> 06:08 PM) They have CarGo and Blackmon in the OF. Avi would have a spot there. Micah isn't necessarily a 2B, he has the tools to be converted to something else. I know Beck was injured, so what? Doesn't mean he can't be traded. He's just a throw-in. Montas does need more time- when did I say he would be thrown right into their rotation? Fulmer has all-star potential as a SP. They also have Dickerson and David Dahl coming up soon.

My/Your Off Season Plan
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 4, 2015 -> 06:01 PM) Do you know how bad Jason Castro has been offensively the past two years? No way he'd bat over Alexei and Sanchez. And 8/180 for Heyward? I think he'd want something like 8/260. 8/180 is 22.5 million a year. 8/260 is 32.5 million a year. That isn't happening lol.

Well, it's that time of year again....2015 edition
Wonder how mad Mariners fans are lol

Has trayce won CF?
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 4, 2015 -> 05:55 PM) Yes, he has. I think his hitting is a fluke, but his defense is worthy of him being the 2016 center fielder I agree, but if he can play an elite CF with hitting 250-260 with 15+ HRs, I'll take it. QUOTE (Dunt @ Oct 4, 2015 -> 05:59 PM) Shuck mightve replaced him as 4th OF I think so too. I think Avi is trade bait.

10/4 vs Detroit Tigers
QUOTE (GreenSox @ Oct 4, 2015 -> 04:16 PM) No it isn't. you do that when you are ready to win. This is a good year to have 2 nice draft choices, for a team that desperately needs them. If you get a top 10 pick and Jeff says no to the QO, then Sox would still have 2 nice draft choices along with a chance of signing Heyward. That's an easy decision for me, you go and sign him.

10/4 vs Detroit Tigers
QUOTE (Knackattack @ Oct 4, 2015 -> 04:08 PM) With a top 10 first round pick and a comp pick for Shark this is a good year to go after a Heyward type player. I completely agree. Having 2 picks likely in the top 30 and getting Jason Heyward for a 2nd round pick? Sign me up. Of course, we have to lose today, and the Mariners have to win. If not, this all goes out the window.

2015-16 NHL thread
QUOTE (LDF @ Oct 3, 2015 -> 10:30 PM) nice game... according the stats sheet .... no one had any meaningful hit. bickell 4 shots on goal and 0 hits. no pts. I watched the whole game. I don't know how someone missed Bickell's hits. He had 2 on his first shift of the game. Flattening one player against the boards as well. He actually had a pretty good game, was noticeable.

2015-16 NCAA Football Thread
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 3, 2015 -> 10:48 PM) I would like them to at least put fliers out for the "hot" candidates, but yeah, I'd have no issues with Cubit in that situation. Given all the drama, it's not easy to get college kids focused and ready to play every week. I agree to an extent because all those "hot" coaches are from the MAC and we've seen that before. I'm comfortable with Cubit and Golesh (recruiting coordinator) because they are starting to bring in some good talent.

2015-16 NCAA Football Thread
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 3, 2015 -> 09:33 PM) Hell yeah! Illinois football is just so much more enjoyable without Beckman on the sidelines. I feel like they are more disciplined without Beckman. If Cubit somehow gets to 7-5 or 8-4 before a bowl game, I think you have to take the interim tag off him and make him the permanent head coach.

QUOTE (reiks12 @ Oct 3, 2015 -> 07:53 PM) Hoping the Sox lose this and the next game. Need that top 10 pick! Sox lose and Seattle wins and I think Sox clinch a top 10 pick.
