  1. QUOTE (Mike F. @ Sep 18, 2015 -> 07:37 PM) Why would it change? Sanchez booted an easy DP ball that would've gotten him out of the inning. Can't assume a double play though
  2. QUOTE (Mike F. @ Sep 18, 2015 -> 07:09 PM) I know, I just hate that Sale will get a loss for this. He should've been out of this inning without any damage done. He also could of gotten out of the inning with 0 runs.
  3. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 18, 2015 -> 07:08 PM) Yes he does he is utility player nothing more. Ok, then let him keep getting work in. Not like he's taking someone's spot.
  4. QUOTE (Mike F. @ Sep 18, 2015 -> 07:07 PM) Carlos Sanchez...f*** YOU Everyone is allowed to make an error dude. He's been stellar there all year. It happens. Not like this is a must win game.
  5. Great approach from Thompson for a double
  6. Kane assits on the first goal of training camp.
  7. QUOTE (LDF @ Sep 17, 2015 -> 10:16 PM) Bickell can be moved or bought out next season. He only has 1 more year on his deal after this year, that is much more appealing to teams that will be trying to get to the cap floor. Or they could just flat out buy him out and save at least 2 million. excellent analysis and i agree. Are you talking about forward prospects or defensive prospects? Offensively, they have quite a few prospects that are blocked from player on the big club. Defensively, they have Ville Pokka who is a right handed Nick Leddy. An absolute stud that should make the team in a year or two. nah, i am talking about 2 dmen ..... they, the sox org will need to find some replacement players for the future .... these dmen, in the system of Q, can not maintain that level of play, before they start to tire out. meaning tired legs for the elder players. it is just an age factor. Well until they do wear out, no need to worry about it now. Keith, Seabrook, and Hjalmarsson are workhorses. It's a matter if Daley & TVR can stay healthy, and Rundblad can take a step. Remember, Hawks also have Visnovsky, Hejda, and Rozival in training camp on try outs. The first 2 could very well make the team.
  8. QUOTE (LDF @ Sep 17, 2015 -> 09:10 PM) i don't know, but i think someone is going to need to be moved. now, i wonder who. also, i really think they going to need to find prospects who can replace a group of excellent dmen. Bickell can be moved or bought out next season. He only has 1 more year on his deal after this year, that is much more appealing to teams that will be trying to get to the cap floor. Or they could just flat out buy him out and save at least 2 million. Are you talking about forward prospects or defensive prospects? Offensively, they have quite a few prospects that are blocked from player on the big club. Defensively, they have Ville Pokka who is a right handed Nick Leddy. 9. QUOTE (LDF @ Sep 17, 2015 -> 08:09 PM) i have several thoughts on that. 1. how much is the extension $$$ wise. 2. how are they going to find the roster space with a tight salary cap to absorb it. now looking at the dman the hawks has, will have and what maybe on market. it might just work out. this yr, his performance will be the telltale for me. Not including this extension, Hawks would have 11 million in cap space with where the current cap is at. Seabrook will probably get a minor raise, however, the only free agents next year are Kruger, Tikhonov, and Shaw.
  10. Hawks closing in on an extension with Seabrook.
  11. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 17, 2015 -> 03:42 PM) I won't blame Avi for that. I mean kind of a fluke there. He had it. I never question Avi's effort just his hitting. Yeah, thats not Avi's fault at all.
  12. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 17, 2015 -> 03:41 PM) Robertson getting ignited. Why didn't Sox pick up Valencia? He coulda started next year at 3B. They did put in a waiver claim but the A's had higher priority.
  13. Also, I can't believe Oakland didn't get a top pitcher from Toronto for Donaldson. They could of done better than this 85-88 mph fluff.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 17, 2015 -> 01:22 PM) Realistically, these are the guys who should be playing right now anyway. Thompson healthy obviously and I think Eaton should play no matter what because he's still young and part of the core. But, I get its a day off.
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 17, 2015 -> 11:23 AM) Lineups https://twitter.com/ESPNChiSox/status/644542152593252353 That lineup is gross
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 17, 2015 -> 12:02 PM) That looked like a drop kick to Kang's leg. Cubs media already out in full force saying it was 100% clean. I agree, go look at what Cubs fans are saying on ProSportsDaily forum. A clean slide does not include a foot knee the opposing player's knee....
  17. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Sep 17, 2015 -> 10:33 AM) I'm sorry, but I'm not expecting too much this season from Dano, Panarin, or Tikhonov. I think Panarin will break out next year, Dano will be an average player in his prime, and Tikhonov won't amount to much. I don't see how you can see Dano as an average player in his prime. Dano has real good potential, is a top prospect, and put up good numbers on a bad team. Tikhonov probably won't amount to anything much more than a 3rd liner.
  18. QUOTE (LDF @ Sep 17, 2015 -> 10:27 AM) and this is where bowman screwed up by not trading bickell, before the draft. the hawks needs to get another experience dman, to help on the workload. No one probably wants Bickell
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 17, 2015 -> 10:03 AM) Don't get me wrong, it should be a fun year, but I just don't see them going back to back after all of the changes. Those things take a while to work out in hockey. They should be a top team and all. It will be a fun year. Hawks are favored again to win the cup in Vegas. Yet, IF everything clicks (Kane playing), this team has more potential than any of the cup winning teams.
  20. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 17, 2015 -> 10:01 AM) Odds of those both happening are? Not too high for me just on the first one. Depends, if Dano is playing with Toews and Hossa then I think its very doable. He had 21 points in 35 games on a bad Colombus team.
  21. QUOTE (LDF @ Sep 17, 2015 -> 08:45 AM) i know nothing of Dano and i really don't have a clue to how he is expected to performed. but i look at it this way, didn't kane and toews start on the 2 line??? well did they move to the first, both or either one?? ref to age, and moving up, isn't dano, if what is said to be true, be the same age as kane and toews?? penciling him as a 1 st liner without knowing for sure, i think it is wishful hoping. then again, who will replace Saad and his numbers with the players the hawks has now?? Dano and Panarin can if they reach their ceilings. Dano is a younger and cheaper Saad if everything goes right. Panarin is a younger and cheaper Sharp if everything goes right.
  22. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Sep 17, 2015 -> 08:04 AM) What's with all the love for Dano? Is he really 1st-line cabliber/a 50 point player? Yes, and he's only 21 years old. He put up 19 points in 33 games on a bad Columbus team last year. Dano could be the next Saad.
