  9. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Mar 28, 2015 -> 05:59 AM) Why do you guys like Guerra? He's solid, and has some pretty good stuff. He has proven it in the past. It's not like were asking him to be an 8th or 9th inning, he would likely enter the 6th or 7th pending on situation. Also, this is how I could see the pitching staff looks like with the sale injury. Samardzija, Quintana, Noesi, Danks, Drabek Robertson, Duke, Petricka, Guerra, Jennings, Putnam, Albers. Then Sale comes back, Drabek becomes long man and can DFA Albers. I could definitely see that happening.
  10. Coach Q: I wasn't blaming Crow at all. The quality was on what we gave them. .. I didn’t pull him because of what he let in.
  11. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 27, 2015 -> 10:57 PM) It was an awfully saveable shot. He was bad, you could see it from the outset of the game. He was fighting the puck and his glove was full of cement. At least 2 of those goals should have been saved. K.
  12. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 27, 2015 -> 10:47 PM) The first one was a breakaway but it was a s*** shot at his glove, the deflection was also at his glove. Not surprisingly the 3rd goal was a 60 footer at his glove. The fourth he got faked out of his pads and they went glove side again. He was awful. How is giving up a breakaway goal awful? Do you put any blame on the defense? Keith was atrocious tonight, failed to clear the puck twice that lead to goals the same shift. The deflected shot was going to his blocker side, until deflected towards the glove, any goalie would of missed that. Also, you do know Crawford has one of the best save percentages on breakaways in the NHL.
  13. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 27, 2015 -> 09:04 PM) Are you high? 3 goals right under his glove including a straight at him 60 footer. Terribly soft goals. One was deflected from about 10 feet out, and two of them were off breakaways. The 60 footer was on him though.
  14. Duncan Keith having a horrendous game. Is already a -3 in the first period. None of the goals on Crawford as he is pulled. Hawks down 4-2 in the first.
  15. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 27, 2015 -> 05:23 PM) http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/pro...p?P=Doug-Drabek I don't think there's any way he's coming north for OD. They just want him in Charlotte with Beck and E.Johnson for rotation depth. That could be a very solid rotation if Rodon is down there too. Rodon, Beck, Johnson, Doran, Drabek.
  16. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Mar 27, 2015 -> 04:42 PM) Drabek will also have to be put back through waivers to send him to Charlotte. Out of options. Honestly, if he does well in this week, I would not mind him being the 5th starter ahead of Penny for OD....
  17. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Mar 27, 2015 -> 02:10 PM) You can afford to take a guy that isn't up soon though with the starting pitching depth that the Sox have. Exactly what I said.
  18. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 27, 2015 -> 12:16 PM) I L L I N I He has been pretty damn good the past 2 years, plus he's a pretty big corner. I wonder if he can start from day 1 and push Jennings into the nickel slot CB where I think he is best suited. Also, if you would of told me Alan Ball would be entering his 9th NFL season, I would of thought you were crazy. As an Illini fan, glad to hear he is a Bear and has had a productive career.
  19. QUOTE (LDF @ Mar 26, 2015 -> 06:45 PM) as i hated to think of something like this, so fast after Aiken's injury, but life goes on. the wild card in you post is no pick in the 2 and 3rd. do the sox goes for who and what is the priority. my question before any others is, i think maybe someone with medical can add, wasn't there something about having a thinner than normal ligament in his elbow? can that be fix? so those are my main question before i start to think about drafting him. i like to see the mock draft and see how far he falls and who moves up. This draft isn't nearly as deep as it has been in previous years. One scout said that this class is below average to average in terms of depth. I'm fine with losing those picks. I would definitely take Aiken at 8 because our rotation would be set for the next 4 years if we do sign Samardzija, so there would be no rush for a player to get to the majors
  20. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 26, 2015 -> 06:26 PM) If you are the White Sox, do you take your chances and draft Aiken in the first after agreeing to a well below slot signing and than from there have cushion to be a little extra aggressive in the later rounds (nabbing some guys who fell). I guess the question is how much less would Aiken take and what are the Sox view of his recovery / med's and overall upside. If we were picking later in the 1st round, I'd say it was an easier decision. I also am not sure if fact we don't have 2nd / 3rd round picks makes situation better or worse. I would.
  21. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Mar 25, 2015 -> 10:27 PM) Trey M, my favorite prospect in the system QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 25, 2015 -> 10:27 PM) Michelewski. I think I butchered that Oh wow, I should of known that. He looks pretty big for only going on 20. Nice short swing he had for a double.
  22. Barnum hitting that bomb against a ML lefty relief pitcher is encouraging, even if it just Franklin Morales.
  23. Barnum obliterated that ball. Oh my
  24. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 25, 2015 -> 09:43 PM) Yes. No brainer to keep him in the minors then.
