  1. QUOTE (LDF @ Mar 26, 2015 -> 06:45 PM) as i hated to think of something like this, so fast after Aiken's injury, but life goes on. the wild card in you post is no pick in the 2 and 3rd. do the sox goes for who and what is the priority. my question before any others is, i think maybe someone with medical can add, wasn't there something about having a thinner than normal ligament in his elbow? can that be fix? so those are my main question before i start to think about drafting him. i like to see the mock draft and see how far he falls and who moves up. This draft isn't nearly as deep as it has been in previous years. One scout said that this class is below average to average in terms of depth. I'm fine with losing those picks. I would definitely take Aiken at 8 because our rotation would be set for the next 4 years if we do sign Samardzija, so there would be no rush for a player to get to the majors
  2. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 26, 2015 -> 06:26 PM) If you are the White Sox, do you take your chances and draft Aiken in the first after agreeing to a well below slot signing and than from there have cushion to be a little extra aggressive in the later rounds (nabbing some guys who fell). I guess the question is how much less would Aiken take and what are the Sox view of his recovery / med's and overall upside. If we were picking later in the 1st round, I'd say it was an easier decision. I also am not sure if fact we don't have 2nd / 3rd round picks makes situation better or worse. I would.
  3. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Mar 25, 2015 -> 10:27 PM) Trey M, my favorite prospect in the system QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 25, 2015 -> 10:27 PM) Michelewski. I think I butchered that Oh wow, I should of known that. He looks pretty big for only going on 20. Nice short swing he had for a double.
  4. Barnum hitting that bomb against a ML lefty relief pitcher is encouraging, even if it just Franklin Morales.
  5. Barnum obliterated that ball. Oh my
  6. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 25, 2015 -> 09:43 PM) Yes. No brainer to keep him in the minors then.
  7. Help me out here, is Rodon like the Bryant situation that if we wait a couple weeks we gain another year of control?
  8. Beck showing a nice little slider, looks like his fastball is popping too. Good inning from him.

So how about Pretty Little Liars? lol
  10. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 24, 2015 -> 10:09 AM) Jarvis Jenkins is terrible and Ray McDonald is aging with a history of domestic violence and possibly rape. I don't understand those two signings at all. Well for one, it's only 1 year deals. And there aren't that many good guys in the draft that are 5 techs on the ground. Most are all guys who play standing up mostly like Fowler, Beasley, Ray. Leonard Williams is the only one worth drafting and i don't know if he makes it to 7. So these signings are just for depth purposes.
  11. Bears are going to sign Jenkins pending a physical. Jenkins is recruiting Foster as well and that is proven on twitter. Lemming is the only one tweeting about McDonald so far. But if Bears do sign all 3, I really think this makes Bears go WR at #7 with either Cooper or White.
  12. Looks like Bears have signed DE Jarvis Jenkins and possibly DE/DT Ray McDonald. Jenkins also recruiting Foster.
  13. QUOTE (bmags @ Mar 23, 2015 -> 12:35 PM) Certainly sounds like a torn ucl. Rough, was certainly hoping this didn't happen because I still think it's ridiculous how the Astros treated the whole situation. Hold on, I thought it was something about his back and not his arm?
  14. Sox acquire 1B/3B Neftali Soto from the Reds for cash. He's 26 and has around 30 professional at bats.....
  15. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 22, 2015 -> 09:41 AM) You mean other than Danks? There's no way the Sox are going after Hamels and emptying the farm....that would be insane (Crosses fingers). Now, those incremental improvement guys like an Edwin Jackson, they COULD be of interest short-term. But there's just no way the budget has any room to push up another $5-10 million at this point in the proceedings. There's also a possibility Noesi becomes expendable with Rodon moving into the rotation...assuming he has "decent" value to another organization in need of some stability at the back end. By that point, Montas, Danish or even Erik Johnson might be in the picture as legit candidates (ala Brandon McCarthy late 2005). If Andre Rienzo has value to teams, Hector Noesi definitely has value to teams.
  16. QUOTE (scs787 @ Mar 21, 2015 -> 01:48 PM) Wow...Rey Mysterio killed a man in the ring. http://wwfoldschool.com/breaking-rey-myste...lls-a-wrestler/ Scary stuff on what looked to be a routine dropkick. Holy crap. Wonder what the autopsy will say, because that kick is really routine. I didn't see anything snap back or anything either. Wow.
  17. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 20, 2015 -> 11:57 PM) Has nothing to do with the game but the ref that called that T should be fired. Absolutely pathetic. The refs in general in this tournament have been pathetic. Absolutely awful.
  18. Don't feel like posting his stats, but just look at Kevin Duchene from Illinois. Insane.
  19. Amazing deal. Love him as a player. 4 very key core players now locked up for at least for 5 more years at very team friendly deals.
  20. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 20, 2015 -> 01:51 PM) This is the first I've watched him live. He's incredible. Get him committed and worry about grades later. I completely agree. It will be a shame if he goes out of state.
  21. Illinois needs Lovett so bad.
  22. QUOTE (raBBit @ Mar 19, 2015 -> 02:44 PM) In before "no one cares about your fantasy team." But I wouldn't be if I were you. Miami is not a hitter's park. He's not a power guy as is. We have AVG and OPS and he's pretty decent in those, plus he's my third OFer.
  23. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 18, 2015 -> 03:14 PM) Mike Lowell ‏@mikelowell25 15m15 minutes ago According to MLB sources, Christian Yelich has finalized a long-term deal with the Marlins! @MLBNetwork @Marlins Drafted him in my unlimited keeper league. Glad he's staying.
  24. Had ISU in my elite 8....
