QUOTE (hi8is @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 11:25 AM) I'd prefer Urias, DeLeon, Lux, Bellinger, Barnes, and Puig as a throw in. Give me Verdugo. Dude is gonna be a good one and could lock down CF.

QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 11:18 AM) I really don't like the Dodgers as a landing spot for Sale from our perspective. Q, possibly, but not Sale. Sale AND Frazier? Give me Urias, De Leon, Verdugo, Bellinger, Lux, and Puig/Pederson

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 11:10 AM) I'm in a White Sox group chat on twitter. Over the past couple days, Ozzie Guillen Jr has been in there. He came in today and said that he's heard the Sox are close to trading Sale and Frazier to the Dodgers. That's all he had. No idea if it's true or not. Just thought I'd pass along. If true, I imagine Urias, Puig, and De Leon are in the deal.

QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 12:43 AM) Woof, Ezekiel Elliot. Totally saved my Brady/Gronk dud for now. Up 10 points, I have Gio Bernard versus his Odell Beckham. I'm a little nervous. In my big money league, I have Ezekiel Elliot, David Johnson, and Melvin Gordon. Now that's WOOF.

Buster Olney @Buster_ESPN 3m3 minutes ago White Sox currently focused on a rebuild, but it's unclear whether they'll find offers acceptable to them for Chris Sale, Jose Abreu, etc.

QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Nov 12, 2016 -> 06:06 PM) whitesoxdave @barstoolWSD 11m11 minutes ago Hearing Brett Lawrie may have been non-tendered, working to confirm this #WhiteSox Hopefully there's a possibility of a trade so we can at least get something for him.
-
QUOTE (daggins @ Nov 12, 2016 -> 05:59 PM) WSD thinks he may have been non-tendered which, if true, would be kind of shocking. Either they are freeing up payroll for a major FA or they are clearing payroll for a rebuild. I'm guessing the latter. What's 5 million when you're going for it?

It really is a shame that scum like Travis Ford is gonna benefit from all of this at Saint fricken Louis University. Time will prove that he's still a terrible coach. -
QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 02:49 PM) If you are rebuilding, no real good reason to keep him. Trade him for a lottery ticket and figure out if Sanchez is ever going to be an everyday player. Theres also a decent chance that they get a quality SS back in one of their rebuilding deals, and that could displace Anderson. If the team is rebuilding I have no problem running out: SS Anderson 3B Saladino DH Garcia RF Liriano 1B Davidson 2B Sanchez LF Coats C Navarez CF Tilson The team won't win a ton, but you can figure which guys are going to be long term pieces and which are never going to amount to anything. I am sure at least 3 of those guys will be displaced by players coming back in trades and they probably won't trade all of their vets. If you are going to be bad, be really bad and get some extra bonus money in the draft. If we are trading Q and Sale and Eaton, we for sure will get some everyday guys in that lineup.

QUOTE (Dunt @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 02:15 PM) I think the belief would be that you get a guy like Devers in a trade to replace Frazier in a year or two Or Frazier moves to 1B and trade Abreu or Abreu goes to DH
-
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 12:55 PM) I'm so out of the loop. When can trades start occurring? Like right now or is there a date coming up? Trades can happen right now. Already been a few since the WS.
-
QUOTE (Deadpool @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 11:29 AM) Not after last season. Plus, he's essentially a DH to a lot of teams. Yes he can, easily. Who wouldn't take 25+ homers and 100 RBIs every season......
-
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 11:14 AM) He DMed me on twitter. I asked: Do you think White Sox wait awhile to make first trade. Merkin said: I think there will be smaller trades soon(ish). He didn't elaborate further. Interesting. If we can trade the likes of Lawrie, Frazier, Robertson, and Melky and get a few decent prospects back, then trade the big guns like Sale, Q, Eaton and Abreu we can be in for business.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 09:00 AM) I don't see him bringing back a top 100 guy. Drew Poemeranz and Andrew Cashner did. Jose Abreu can bring back 1 if not 2 top 100 guys.
-
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 09:20 AM) Disagree with this. Merkin told me yesterday that he expects some smaller deals to happen soon(ish). I think your impending free agents go regardless of the pitchers. Do you mind sharing that conversation?

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Nov 9, 2016 -> 01:59 PM) I think he was the one who had a falling out with his source. Or maybe it was someone else. QUOTE (hi8is @ Nov 9, 2016 -> 02:01 PM) That may have been Rock Raines Yes, that was Rock.

Wish we could get some info from Bucket. Haven't heard from him all year.

QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Nov 9, 2016 -> 01:09 PM) Glad to hear Cameron thinks it is short. Give me Rodriguez and Vazquez in addition and I'd probably do it. Replace Vazquez with Swihart and I'd do it. I'd probably do it anyway because isn't Vazquez great defensively? Either way, Benintendi, Devers, Kopech, Rodriguez and Swihart/Vazquez would be a great trade for Sale. Hell, if we could add another piece to the deal and possibly get Groome in there too. As far as the Frazier extension rumors, if this true rebuild does go on and we get MLB or close to MLB players in trades, Frazier would easily be the face of the franchise until the kids take over. Much like Lester with the Cubs.

QUOTE (gatnom @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 07:58 PM) Sounds like Travis Ford might just recruit Groce into the unemployment line. Can't wait to see Travis Ford under achieve at SLU and get fired again. Dude is a scumbag -
QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 07:48 PM) I should have bolded it...the part about it doesn't mean we won't be in a good position in 2017... MLB ready players in these trades, or trying to cause more confusion by not fully saying that the Sox are gonna rebuild.
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 07:38 PM) This is the quote that frightens me. What frightens you about it?
-
QUOTE (coco1997 @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 07:02 PM) These all look like pie in the sky ideas. Do you realize how valuable the Sox players are?

Sale to Boston for Benintendi, Rodriguez, Swihart, Devers, and Kopech Quintana to Dodgers for Puig, Urias, Verdugo, and Bellinger Abreu and Jones to the Rangers for Mazara, Gallo, and Profar Robertson to the Giants for Beede Eaton to the Cardinals for Piscotty, Reyes, and Perez

The domino that could catapult the white sox into a fire sale

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 03:09 PM) You may not get that many hauls for that first group. 4 if not all 5 would require a lot. It makes sense that one or two are dealt and the others slowly get dealt over next year or two. I would also wait until the deadline to move Robertson so he can recoup some value. Why not? Sale and Quintana, their markets are well documented for potential suitors. Jones is comparable to Ken Giles. Adam Eaton has just come off the best year of his career and their are many good teams out there looking for a good/great cheap 1B (Red Sox, Rangers, Pirates, Astros) -

If we do sell, Sale, Quintana, Eaton, Jones, Abreu, and Robertson all need to go. Keep Lawrie, Frazier, and Melky and trade them at the deadline unless blown away with an offer this winter
