I have to work during the game, so I'll have to miss this game. But, I'll be counting on all of you to make nice posts to help me get the picture of the game when I come back from work.

I was at work and almost s***ted when I heard the score from one of the managers who was checking the score on the internet, when we scored six in the first inning... Ok, no, I really didn't; but I did let out a LOUD scream and had a few people seeing if I was all right! I said I was elated. Go Sox!!!

Thank you, CW!!! You guys are expecting Carlos to be Jesus out there. He can't be, but he's doing an all right job. Sure, he can improve defensively, as can almost anyone. But, don't diss someone who's helped us out more than most this season. Go Carlos!!!

The thing that pisses me off most about this team is that the Sox continuously have games like this after a good outing, proving that they can't seem to piece together a nice streak. Usually teams have at least oen hot streak in a season; but, I don't know if the Sox are going to even have one. July looks easy on paper. Let's hope next month soothes the wounds that have hit them the first three.

Exactly!!! And, did you know that in the past 56 seasons, the Sox have finished with a better record than the Cubs in 42 of those? And in that same span, the Cubs have outdrawn the Sox by a mere 1,500, which nixes all of this attendance talk Cub fans like to boast about.

I can read about it adnausium, but I can never actually feel how bad the 1970 season was for the Sox. Supposedly it was the worst year in Sox history. Would those of you who lived through it be as descript as possible about everything about that season for those of us younger Sox fans here who either weren't born then or were too young to have remembered it.

Soxnet is the greatest Sox site on the face of the web! If it weren't for him, we wouldn't have a place like this to share our cheers whenever our Sox win or share the gloom whenever our Sox lose. His baseball knowledge is very strong, and he adds more than his fair share of insight on the Sox and our minor league system (when is he ever not on this site?). Jason, I salute you!!!

So, that brings us to within 6.5 games of them, with Minnesota having a game at hand. If we can chip away at this lead one game a week, we'll be in the thick of things by the All Star break. We were at this position just over a week ago, after taking Game One against San Francisco, and then we hit a backslide. NO LET DOWNS THIS TIME, SOX!!!
