  1. So both FS1 and MLBN will be carrying the Friday game? Or just on HULU?
  2. I have Comcast as well, it I get the same error when trying to stream MLB network. Says I have to be on home wifi. I have a 6 hour drive I gotta make Fri. Was planning to get up early and get drive out of way before the game. But going to small town that won’t have sports bar and potentially not being able to find an easy stream like I would on other channels. Fuck it - I’ll make the drive after the game. Terrible situation - but not a chance I am missing even a pitch of this game.
  3. How about what TA did Friday night when he pretty much willed the team back to victory? Literally zero concern for anything TA related. He’s gonna ball out. My concerns are OF defense, Cesar being a black hole, and Lynn/Rodon health.
  4. I quite literally have not heard of a single one of those people making picks.
  5. If there is a guy who I want going 2x in the series, its Gio. Lynn's knee still is not right.
  6. I love Yaz. Dude is just a ball player in every respect. So pumped the Sox got him and have felt that way since he was a Dodger.
  7. I am one of those people that can definitely figure these types of things out and currently WFH anyway, but this is kind of a bad take. Work day day game playoff baseball is absolutely trash for the fans. My personally issue with Friday is I have a six hour drive I have to make at some point Friday. After game, wife gonna wanna kill me. Leave beforehand and I’m gonna miss first few innings. Neither ideal.
  8. Woof. Pretty terrible schedule for me right there.
  9. Yaz probably most valuable guy on the team right now outside of Robert with what he brings to the table from his position. Awful list.
  10. I agree its a solid top 4 and that the A version of Rodon is long gone. BUt just on a match-up by match-up basis, at worst you're looking at this. Giolito = McCullers Lynn >>>>> Garcia Cease >>>> Urquidy Rodon = Valdez/Odorizzi (being generous to Houston here with Rodon's questionable health, though Kopech as a piggyback certainly needs to be considered too)
  11. He should, and will, get Cy Young votes.
  12. I have looked at the numbers. 2 of our guys are going to finish top 5 in the AL Cy Young. Another guy is Giolito. Another guy is Cease who just finished 3rd in the league in Ks. The Astros have a rock solid McCullers, an overachieving rookie who had a very nice year in Garcia, and 3 backend types in Urquidy, Valdez and Odorizzi who strike just about zero fear in me. The Sox SP is measurably better than the Astros in both the numbers you are referring to, and stuff. Now are we going to get the A versions of Rodon and Lynn? Probably not. But the Astros SP hasn't been great for the last month either.
  13. Kopech should be able to go 1 inning in game 1, and then 3 innings in game 3 IMO.
  14. You should be safe for THursday. With just 2 games, I don't see them starting before 3pmCT. Friday on the other hand is very likely to be earlier than 3pm.
  15. Yeah, I mean you don't have a whole lot to support that other than just apparently not being a big believer in Cease. Garcia I could see being about a toss up with Cease as he's had a nice season, but Ks way fewer people than Cease. Pretty easy nod for Cease over Urquidy, Valdez and/or Odorizzi based on stuff and stats.
  16. Rodon is a big question mark to me too. I frankly don't expect much from him, but know Kopech will be there to piggyback him. But he will also likely finish top 3 in AL Cy Young, and let's not act like Garcia, Valdez and Urquidy are suddenly aces.
  17. I mean, I think you could make an argument Cease would be the Astros 2nd best SP.
  18. How do you figure? McCullers, Garcia, Urquidy and Valdez are a very clear and somewhat significant step down from the Sox top 4.
  19. I agree with you. I don’t think there’s any realistic chance Sox have night games at all in ALDS until Yanks/Red Sox are both eliminated. At least that is my assumption until the schedules dictates otherwise.
  20. Certainly appears to be the plan. If they haven't been announced yet, nothing changes until the ALWC game is over late Tuesday.
  21. Perhaps. I guess we'll have to wait until Wednesday to find out. What a joke for people planning travel.
  22. This would be awesome, but I don't see any realistic scenario that Yanks/Red Sox vs. Rays isn't the prime time game Thursday (and through the whole series). And based on last year, days with just 2 games were 3-4pmCT and 7pmCT game times. It is brutal. Thur/Sun only have 2 games, so they'll spread them out I would guess. Have to image Yanks/Red Sox getting the primetime as mentioned above. Friday has 4 games - would again assume Sox are one of the 2 day games, and apparently TBS has already reflected Brewers/Braces for the 330pm time slot. So I think 1pm Friday is likely, which is worst case scenario for me personally.
  23. Consensus is 3-4pmCT Thursday, 1-3pmCT timeframe on Friday, and likely back to 3-4pmCT timeframe on Sunday.
  24. Just gotta take 1 of the first 2 in Houston. If they can that, I like our chances. If Sox head back to Chicago in an 0-2 hole, we’re obviously on a world of trouble.
