QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Dec 14, 2016 -> 10:08 AM) I never want to see the Sox lose, but when there is a generational talent like Seth Beer in the 2018 draft class, I'd be ok if they stunk next year as long as they get him. I think everyone needs to calm down regarding Seth Beer. Put the the keg down and take a deep breath. It's okay to be excited about possibly having a very high pick but to be this attached to a player a year and a half out from the 2018 is only setting yourself up for disappointment

QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Dec 14, 2016 -> 09:45 AM) Makes me feel like Q is the next one out the door. The Sox needed to sign a starting pitcher (or two) regardless of what happens with Quintana

QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Dec 13, 2016 -> 04:39 PM) As I recall, the Sox lost out on Cabrera because they wouldn't take Dontrell Willis. I remember those rumors and going online everyday to see what was happening -
Patrick Wilson is going to play Orm/Ocean Master in Aquaman: http://deadline.com/2016/12/patrick-wilson...moa-1201869055/ Justice League 2 has been taken off the schedule so that the Batman film can take its place. Zack Snyder is going to make a smaller, original, war film before doing the sequel: http://collider.com/justice-league-2-release-date-delayed/ David Ayer will direct the Harley Quinn spin off, which is titled Gotham City Sirens: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-visi...llains-project- Rick Famuyiwa departed from the Flash because he wanted to make a film that was more of a social commentary and that spoke on race, etc: http://www.forbes.com/sites/markhughes/201...d/#48c8e2e875ee And surprisingly, Ben Affleck doesn't want to make a s***ty Batman movie: http://batman-news.com/2016/12/12/ben-affl...not-in-a-hurry/ Just trying to the keep the thread open

Would you rather sign Otani and no LA players, thus hurting your presence in LA? Or would you not sign Otani and sign LA players to keep your LA presence strong?

Get to watch the movie Wednesday night for work (projectionist). A rep from Disney is going to audit me watching the movie, so it should be an awkward time. I'm excited. I'm seeing it on Friday morning at 1:30 and then my partner and I are seeing it on Monday for my birthday.

QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Dec 12, 2016 -> 08:15 PM) Honestly, winter meetings should be an all week thing from Sunday to Sunday. I was talking with a friend about the winter meetings and I couldn't agree more. I think they should do it Monday to Saturday. -

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 12, 2016 -> 11:13 AM) Franklin Perez is currently their #4 prospect according to the Baseball America most recent update. I meant a top ten pitching prospect in all of baseball -
I asked JJ Cooper on Twitter, about his thoughts on Gray and Beer and he said that we can add Brice Turang to that group. Nathan Rode from PrepBaseballReport.com said that Jarred Kelenic is another player that you can throw into that group and said that he would take Turang and Kelenic over both Beer and Gray. Turang: Kelenic:

I'd rather have Franklin Perez than Whitely, Perez should be a top ten pitching prospect when the rankings are updated. -

In a trade with Houston I would need: Tucker, F. Perez, Martes and Whitely to start. In a trade with Colorado I would need: Rodgers, Pint and Tyler. -
It's hard to say when the team will be competitive because it depends on the development of the young players and we need to how continue to develop at the ML level. But if you put a gun to my head, I would say 2020. Hopefully we get a couple top picks in the meantime

Earlier this past season I asked JJ Cooper on Twitter, who the top player in the 2018 draft class is and said it's between Beer and Joe Gray. Joe Gray: http://www.perfectgame.org/Players/PlayerP...ID=469872#Video

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 07:34 PM) Really good chance he isn't coming over next year as he would be restricted. Ken Rosenthal reported that he's coming over and he reported that after the new CBA was done. But these new rules do not work out in his favor, if he wants more money he should stay but he'd be taking a huge risk

What ever it takes to sign Shoei Otani, they should do.

QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 03:28 PM) Would you do Nate Jones for Josh Bell? I am not big on Josh Bell -
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 11:19 AM) Fortunately since the MCU moves in real time, we'll only have high school Peter for one movie. They're gonna try and stretch him into being the next RDJ/face of the MCU for the next decade. They said that they want these films to be like the Harry Potter films, with each film representing a year in school for Peter. And no doubt that Marvel/Disney wants Holland and Brie Larson to be the face of the MCU going forward, along with Chris Pratt. I mean they announced the sequel the day after the trailer came out.

QUOTE (Ezio Auditore @ Dec 9, 2016 -> 08:54 AM) I don't know why everyone seems to think Peter Parker needs to be a young teenager. He hasn't actually been a teenager in the comics in decades. The whole time I've been reading comics he's actually been an adult. If they were gonna do the teenager route they really should've done Miles Morales, that's a fresh story. Peter Parker as a young teenager is a fresh story, in the terms of the films. Both Garfield and McGuire played Peter Parker in his senior year of high school, when he's about to graduate. Plus, I prefer Peter the teen to Peter the adult

I'm hoping for Kyle Wright from Vanderbilt. He's 6'4 220, has a mid 90s fastball and a slider. Here's some video:

Zack Snyder and JJ Abrams always make each other videos whenever they're filming something. Snyder made this for Abrams before the Force Awakens came out but is sharing it now for Rouge One.
