Mendick probably gives them similar defense at a fraction of the cost-assuming he’s ready to go opening day. Easy trade off to shed some salary.

That is putrid. Eloy + Liam = a fucking haul. Using that for salary relief is fucking criminal.

A cap won’t make JR spend. Cohen going bonkers deep into the tax doesn’t mean other will follow suit. If anything we need a floor so cheap teams invest and try to win.
