How about wooden busts that we can burn in effigy??
-
Definitely doesn’t still have “it”, if he ever actually did. And I don’t know how new age this club really is, but he sure didn’t fit when returned. It’s less oil & water now but it’s simply very likely that he’s ground everyone down and killed everyone’s spirits. 0-2 there mr hall of fame baseball person…

Popcorn has appeal. Rick Hahn’s best quality has to be the ability to sound like he’s giving you useful info w/o saying anything of substance. Which is really only appealing if you need a PR front to give a shitty org cover in the media. -

Yeah, um, about that Tony… -
If we can’t fire Tony into the sun, can we do Frank instead? Or Maroon him on the next road trip somewhere with no phone, wallet, or keys, and hope he never comes back? I normally don’t wish ill will on people but desperate times and all…

Allstar break would be a fine time for the shithead to resign, for “reasons”. Too bad the smug SOB still needs to prove everyone wrong…

Hahah this happened? And I left? Damn I really missed out on the spectacle. -
We tried to get the Fire Tony chant going late in the game tonight but that point what little crowd that were Sox fans seemed pretty tuned out. Our best efforts were short lived sadly.

I could track every home run ball off Twins bats from section 104 this evening and knew it was gone. Every Sox fly ball was an obvious warning track shot at best. I have no idea where the power went, but opponents have no trouble launching balls out of Sox Park that’s for sure. -

Hahah they resumed play after the rain delay and everyone left. Why even bother? -

Dead-ass lifeless team out there tonight. Zero energy on the field, dumbass fans cheering to throw home run balls back. Kopech looking very broken on the mound giving up long ball after long ball. TLR asleep at the wheel as usual. TA killed how many potential rallies pulling a grounders to the left side?! Sox looked like they were just going through the motions out there tonight. Sad showing all around. -
I love Pito and his loyalty to this shitty org shouldn't just be tossed to the curb. But at his age he has to know his days as an everyday player are numbered. He is welcome back with open arms, but its only fair he's paid he would get on the open market. Year to year at low dollars, I think there is a spot for him. Beyond that I just don't know.

Yeah, many of us spent all winter debunking the Sheets RF myths. Seby played plenty last year and outside of his 3 homer game he pretty much sucks ass. McGuire had plenty of time in the Jays org to get a good read on him before coming over. Cueto at his age was really the only unknown quantity coming onto the Sox scene. Painting them as pleasant surprise additions seems pretty silly to me. -

Sheets and Zavala are pretty much known quantities at this point, though not incapable of a surprising moment or two. It is not like they've suddenly broken onto the scene out of nowhere or anything. -
Of course this dumbass org is gonna run him back out to LF to further wreck his career...

I've been checking all day and right now we have a 30% chance at 7p and 30% chance at 9p. -
I was never a big fan of his before the past year's worth of injury, but also recognize where his OBP etc helps this team a ton. If he comes back and proves he has something left, cool, I'll be the first to admit I was premature in calling him toast. But I'm not holding my breath.
-
And how long until he gets shut down again?
-
Katz deserve a much longer rope IMO. He shouldn't be blamed for the incompetence around him.
-
That’s a mighty big *IF*. Catcher in physical decline with continual lower body injuries doesn’t give me much hope he’s ever healthy enough to post similar numbers at the plate again. Paul Konerko’s end of career cratering keeps coming to the back of my mind.
-
Can’t overlook the errors preceding the historic blunder.
-
I’m trying to enjoy what little I can, completely emotionally detached and with zero expectation that they ever win anything again. Being a fan for 30+ years is hard to quit and I mostly tune in because I love Jason on the call, but I find myself watching far more non-Sox baseball than ever before.

Day game after a very warm night tonight? Sunday C lineup on Wednesday for sure. Not like there’s a sense of urgency or anything.
