I guess? I watch/listen to a lot of out of town baseball, and i find very few as bland and boring as Len. Most team commentators have far more personality, even if they aren't to Hawk's level. National broadcasters I will give you, but team broadcasters have much more flavor than bland vanilla Len.

I wouldn't completely hate an Avi reunion, and I was super happy when he left. That's how bad it is

Oh don't even get me started on that asshat. Even the mention of his name on Sox games makes my skin crawl. There are homers, there are fanatics, and then there is that guy.

See, I absolutely LOATHE Len. At first I thought it was just his Cubs affiliation, but its far beyond that now. Yes he will always have that taint, but he's just so boring, bland, and milquetoast that I go nearly comatose listening to him. He just isn't good IMO. Others definitely disagree with me, but I stand by it.

I sort of feel like they had plans for trades or upgrades but got the firm mandate before FA to absolutely not enter luxury tax territory. It does feel very like a Rick Hahn offseason.

This is what I'm afraid of. The farm is pretty barren, but I fear they go all KW to bolster a flawed roster in a desperate attempt to make a run.

How do you feel about Len Kasper doing Sox games?? Edit - I had similar feelings when Schwarber hit FA, but quickly got over it oddly enough. I loathe the Cubs but Rizzo is probably the only of the "stars" they let go that I wouldn't want. It's not exactly rational I do admit.

Joe Madden? The same Joe Madden that couldn't win anything with Trout & Ohtani? His pixie dust magic has long since worn off. Fact is TLR is a crotchety old drunkard curmudgeon who still believes he is at the peak of his "abilities". He really should be spending his twilight years by the pool with a mai tai instead of pretending his still has any acumen in the dugout. I have to imagine he is absolutely miserable day in and day out, as is anyone who has to deal with him, but ego and delusion are a hell of a drug.

Sadly, I think they are done adding. They seem perfectly content to run it back with a sub par team having addressed none of their needs.

So how much of the meager farm are they going to mortgage in a desperate attempt to go for it? Instead of addressing any of the root causes for their struggles?

I wanted him before he signed with the Nationals, and again last winter. But we already had Sheets and to some that was absolutely good enough.
