  1. As they should. I don’t expect them to pull that one off, but running it back plus Drummond & Gallo and hoping for health is hardly an inspiring off-season.
  2. If I’m Drummond I’m taking the most I can get and I don’t begrudge him for it at all. Does Drummond for $3.3 vs a vet min big move the needle on the court at all though? That’s where I’m skeptical. I don’t want to play Gallo $8M, but it would be nice to have an $8M option to for someone who does move the needle.
  3. Probably not, but I just don’t think Drummond is worth the difference between a $3.3M portion of the MLE vs a vet minimum signing if it limits what else they can do with the MLE. There are ways to get under the tax before the 2022/23 season ends.
  4. If Drummond is coming out of the MLE I really don’t like the signing.
  5. Lots of names off the board already, including Bamba and Hartenstein. They better have their ducks in a row for a meaningful trade.
  6. That is a bit more than the full MLE. Bulls couldn’t have offered that.
  7. From Jimmy + Wade + Rondo drama to Jimmy + Kyrie drama. Hahaha that would be a delicious train wreck if it weren’t my team.
  8. I would love answers to these questions, but I don't think a local sports journalist would have the courage to ask these and not have the interview abruptly end. These are more exposé questions asked in a longer form interview after Hahn has left the job IMO. Not saying its good or bad, right or wrong either way. These are much more in line with what I think a local journalist could ask and not get completely shut down. All fair and poignant but not at all pushing too far.
  9. And whatever picks or pick swaps needed to make the deal.
  10. If they acquired KD for that package, I sure hope they'd swap Vuc ASAP for useful defensive parts. I'd much prefer to send Vuc to BKN over DD, but the value and appeal would be far lower on their end.
  11. 100%. Everyone but JR probably hates that he’s around, but they value their cushy jobs too much to leave.
  12. I have no idea what the first word of that phrase means, but ‘hacer’ is the infinitive of ‘to make’. Something is making, makes, or made (?) my soul hurt. My recollection of verb tenses is really bad these days so not sure. We also have no clue about the context of the statement. Hard to glean meaning w/o a native speaker of Cuban Spanish.
  13. Frank Thomas is the reason I'm a Sox fan. The 1993 team is still my all time favorite Sox team. You'll never hear a disparaging word from me about the Big Hurt!
  14. Trout & Ohtani are generational stars and the org can't put a good team around them, despite spending gobs of cash in FA. White Sox fandom is frustrating AF for myriad reasons, but I do feel for LAA fans. That's a whole different level of long-suffering frustration.
  15. Let’s do what Johnny says and ignore Frank. Frank sucks and we don’t like him.
  16. I’ve thought he might end up at 1B, but his propensity to hurt himself doesn’t change much chasing balls in foul ground near dugouts and camera wells.
  17. If Cueto doesn’t in the bottom half, the 7th or 8th will def do them in.
  18. I wonder what it’s like to have more than one home run in a month.
  19. I’d settle for launching the whole staff sans Katz out to sea. w/o a paddle.
  20. Keep on penciling him into the lineup TLR…. Even he knows he stinks FFS.
  21. I kind of feel like last year the FO had cover. They came out of the gate ok but then climbed into first place and coasted to a division title. Injuries decimating the roster was a bit of an outlier over the new norm. This year TLR is even worse, and the roster is worse, and the holes are more glaring, and zero depth available to help. Injuries are the new norm and the shine is definitely fading of some of these young players. The FO’s failings are far more evident and TLR being bad is no longer the sole scapegoat. If there were any accountability everyone would be on the hot seat, but sadly we know who the chairman is so the status quo continues.
