  1. Yeah didn’t see his jump but he was out easily.
  2. The few times I’ve seen Engel run this spring he hasn’t looked like himself.
  3. I didn’t even notice your post when I made the same joke ?
  4. Trade is final, no take backs!
  5. Well said. I too remember reading the scouting reports on him and being very excited, and then severely disappointed by what we saw regularly in game. The BA & OBP were really nice when he was available to play, and I'd welcome that profile with open arms on this current squad. But the obsession with him over the bat while ignoring the rest is puzzling.
  6. If he stays healthy all year, I think he's in the conversation.
  7. When Madrigal plays enough games for his high batting average to move the needle, let me know. I have nothing against the kid, I liked the pick and hoped for the best. But that prospect shine wore off quickly and he had some serious warts defensively and on the bases. And, he couldn't stay healthy. I wish nothing but the best for him, but the hand wringing over him being gone is really baffling to me.
  8. None of those bullet points are reason enough to not acquire another starter, especially a solid lefty on an affordable deal. Add them all together and it still means fuck-all when Keuchel is getting shelled every 5th day, and Kopech is only going 3-4 innings per start. As SS2K said above, if you're scared, get a dog.
