Good for Gavin. Playing a position before/during college does not mean they can play it in the majors. Maybe don't shout in caps lock when you don't know facts yourself.

Neither Sheets or Vaughn were good in RF. But Sheets was still significantly worse. I don’t want either playing in Right but sadly that seems where we are heading.

The problem is that Engel can’t stay healthy and can’t be counted on to play every day. Any plan that pencils him into the lineup every day is one that will result in even lesser players starting for large chunks of the season. They need a legit starting RF.

Well we know Sheets is worse at 1B. I don’t even wanna imagine him trying to play 2B?.

This would seem to back up the eye test quite well. Vaughn made good plays in LF, but his lack of range and poor reads really showed in RF. And Sheets was significantly worse at both positions. It baffles me why people think the pair would make even a passable RF platoon.

And then was penciled into the 3 spot for basically the rest of the year. TLR tinkered but still started Abreu in the 3 spot 60+ percent of the season.

This is how I would go too, but I don't think Abreu gets moved out of the 3 hole any time soon.
