I don't disagree w/ what Eugene is saying, but it is ownership after all. Of course they will add sweeteners for themselves. But I'm still not seeing any real deal breakers in this proposal. Maybe its just my desire for this shit to end and to have baseball back, but I still think this is a win for the players - for the most part.

I'm as pro-player/labor as they come, and I agree. Assuming the figures reported are in fact accurate, I think the players look really bad if they let something minuscule tank this offer.

We've seen so much intransigence from ownership all winter that I hope the players recognize the gains in offer on the table right now. It feels like the core issues have been addressed and the players are probably better off conceding on the difference in the pre-Arb pool. Yes is not what they asked, but its bigger than what's been offered previously. Its still a win for the players IMO and the only big hang up I see is about how the INT draft is implemented at this point.

Pretty laughable that not long ago the owners were sabre rattling about their best & final offer and here we are on the what feels like the verge of a new CBA (????) and all it took was significant movement from their own side. As if we all couldn’t see what needed to happen and their continual refusal to budge.

My one criticism of a best of 3 would be how long top seeds would be idle. A 3 game HFA helps that, and incentivises the other two WC teams to fight for a higher seed. I would be in favour.
