9/27 Sox @ Detroit 5:40PM
I think they also had it in 1970 or 1971. They took a kid named Danny Goodwin, a catcher if I remember right.

Not when they offer him the position for next year. 😆

Agree. I'd take some past Sox seasons (63,64,65,72,77,90) for example in a heartbeat even though they didn't make the post season. Those were damn good teams.

Chasing Records — 121 losses, modern MLB record
This is a well written story by Fegan: https://soxmachine.com/2024/09/white-sox-seal-shameful-place-in-history-with-121st-loss/ Regarding Lightfoot's comments if she is as big of a Sox fan as she claims to be she'd know Sox fans could give a rat's ass what Jerry's ethnic background is...just that he is a terrible owner who has destroyed the franchise because he thinks he's the smartest guy in the room and his arrogance knows no bounds.

Not when they name Sizemore the manager for next year.

CHSN to be available on antenna in Chicago
Given how he has been honestly critical of the organization I can't say I'm surprised.

JR Quote...
Picked up a book for my Sox library titled "Sox" by the late Bob Vanderberg who was one of the associate sports editors at the Tribune. He also wrote some great books on the 1959 team and the Sox battles with the Yankees in the 1950's and 1960's. He was a huge Sox fan. For this book which originally came out in 1982 he scored an interview with JR and I was struck by his comments. My how times have changed: "What you have to do is develop a team that contends every year. I want to contend every year. I don't want to have ups and downs." "We're going to be significant increasing our investments in the farm system. In the long run my feeling is that to be a contender every year you have to develop you own players. You can't do it in the free agent market and you can't do it through trades. You can try to fill a gap that way. But a winning team takes 25 guys and most of them you have to develop. So were gonna be spending our money on the farm system."

Nor should those stiffs and has-been's return.

9/26 Sox vs. Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 1:10PM - final home game
The fact that the Sox did this for Flexen will get around the other MLB clubhouses. That can pay dividends down the line.

Bleacher Report: White Sox expose MLB's not so secret crisis of bad ownership
Anything is possible but he has been adamant he's not selling while he is alive in part because of the massive capital gains tax hit (estimated to be around 200 million) then he'll have to pay the Illinois state tax hit which will be more millions of dollars.

From DVS story today in the Sun-Times: To that end, Robert, who missed two months with the second strained hip flexor of his career, said his offseason routine largely will be the same.

Stone not sure he will be back in 25, season "wearing on him"
He better hope he stays in good health, it may be a long time before this franchise is even mediocre.

Brand Loyalty
Win and treat the fan base with respect and not act like they are dumb idiots.
