  1. Because nobody cares what a bunch of east coast blowhards think
  2. Uncle Gio hustles more anyway.
  3. Listen to it again then
  4. I interpreted it as in general but not sure. This all starts around the 36:10 mark of today's episode
  5. Exactly. This is an aggressive, all-in strategy, and those are the strategies you need when you're courting a generational talent.
  6. He elaborated and said he predicts the winning bid to be more like 8/270
  7. I should clarify, I think the contact said to hold off on tweeting it for a few hours or something like that
  8. On RLR today, Dave said that the Sox current offer of 7 years, 245-250 million currently has us in the lead for Machado, but his contact told him not to tweet it
  9. Not sure if you missed it but I was the first to give you props in this thread
  10. Thanks for refuting your own point, as the only player with a higher OBP the past 4 years for us is Abreu. Thus, this is indeed exactly what the team needs, to quote you.
  11. If we're doing this, I'd go Jay Moncada Machado Jimenez Abreu Alonso RF FA Castillo Anderson
  12. It’s easy to cherry pick OPS for a guy who doesn’t hit for power and ignore that he’s already our best OBP player on the whole team, I guess
  13. Perfect. Nothing to complain about, clear upgrade offensively and a small commitment
  14. And Jon Jay is precisely the high OBP/low strikeout guy we need right now, Machado ties aside. He would've led the team in OBP last year (.330).
  15. Does this mean you're signing with the White Sox too?
  16. Not to mention we have way more $$ to offer
  17. I was wrong- thanks for sharing this scoop
  18. The almighty Russo even acknowledging our existence is a step up already
  19. That account is a cesspool. Ever since Hayes left, everything non-Garfien from NBCS White Sox has been a bunch of clickbait nonsense
  20. I do think he signs this week, perhaps early this week. And yes, that someone was Dan Clark. WSD also said "in the next 5 days" on Thursday or Friday
  21. Same guy who claimed he had evidence that the Sox are going hard for both Machado and Harper a couple weeks ago, and that he'd post it at noon the next day, and it turned out he was just trolling everyone. I'm assuming he's just trolling again.
  22. I wouldn't say that Nagy sucked or didn't adjust, but he adjusted too late, and he should've had Mitch attacking the secondary from the start. That's my gripe.
  23. Nagy is far more conservative in general than people think. Today, he should've attacked what is a very weak Philadelphia secondary, but he didn't until the fourth quarter. That, more than anything, is why we lost. I wanted him to have learned the lesson after the KC playoff collapse last year, then after the Dolphins game this year. Not sure if this is what will finally do it for him.
