  1. Clint Frazier pulled from AAA game. Some think he hurt himself on a diving play earlier, others claim he stayed in the game and was fine after said play
  2. He's ready. Save for that stretch where he was dealing with the death of his cousin, he has looked really good. I want to see him against Toronto two weekends from now
  3. It's also anti-walk. That's why I'm wary of his potential. He'll hit for average but won't slug and won't have much value with OBP relative to his average, barring changes in his approach
  4. Andrelton Simmons is laughing at you
  5. Totally agree that it shouldn't be September. It should be now (late July/early August) or next April. I just happen to lean towards the former.
  6. I'm not talking about two weeks, I'm talking about waiting until late April rather than calling them up in the coming weeks
  7. Couldn't it be more valuable for the players in question to develop against MLB competition while we aren't competing, rather than throwing them into the thick of it when we're trying to contend? They're gonna need time to adjust. I'd rather have them be ready and able to hold their own in MLB in 2020 than actively hurt their development to maybe possibly have them in 2025, as the CBA will probably change those rules.
  8. Callis wrote today that Basabe will be considered for a top 100 spot in his next update
  9. To an extent, sure, but keep in mind Abreu is signed for 2019 too. If he's still in a downward spiral by the end of August, maybe I'll reconsider my stance. For now, I'll consider this his yearly extended slump where he looks completely awful. Regardless, I'd be willing to bet that Abreu from tomorrow to the end of 2019 will be a better offensive player than Bird in the same span.
  10. Yes they are but I would still be hesitant to say goodbye to 6 years of Fry. His peripherals and deception have me convinced that he'll be an effective reliever.
  11. It's crazy how much recency bias there has been in baseball lately
  12. While I agree that they both provide minimal impact, part of me is worried that Engel won't be out of a job anytime soon. There have been so many chances to replace him yet he still plays most of the time. Even when it looked like Tilson was starting to take his ABs, I'm more convinced that was Renteria letting TIlson face the Cardinals (his former team) rather than Engel losing his job
  13. And it explains why those who don't like him are often older/traditional
  14. Wouldn't that result in losing a year of team control? If so, I think we see them in early-mid August or not at all this year
  15. Take notes Hahn. Let's package some of our guys to get a better prospect. Soria, Cedeno, and Avilan in the same trade even. Obviously wouldn't get someone like Mejia but maybe a top 100?
  16. How do TA and Beckham get mentioned but not Moncada?
  17. Mark Bowman (MLB.com) proposes Matt Davidson and Joakim Soria for... Max Fried, Alex Jackson, and Rio Ruiz. Sign me up! https://www.mlb.com/news/braves-wont-mortgage-future-for-2018-run/c-286235022
  18. Then pack it up, go root for another team. If the rebuild has failed, you might as well stop wasting your time on this team. Just don't come back once we're good and you realized you judged extremely prematurely.
  19. Probably for Delmonico. Should've been Engel if you ask me.
