  1. He's an obvious step up from Robin. Regardless, his lineup configuration is often questionable. Also, he orders bunts way too often- like, even more than Robin. If you ever find yourself ordering Jose Abreu to bunt with 2 men on, you need to reevaluate your strategies... yet, he orders bunts over and over and over, even from middle of the order hitters.

  4. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ May 20, 2017 -> 12:59 PM) My bad. I'm not even on twitter so it was easy to get me on this fake. No worries. I've just seen like, 5 or 6 people post fake tweets here lately that are easy to identify. If there's no blue check mark next to the guy's name (like Badler, for example, doesn't have one for some reason), you just have to make sure his name is spelled right, he has lots of followers, >1 tweet, etc.
  5. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ May 20, 2017 -> 12:56 PM) https://mobile.twitter.com/BenBadlar?ref_sr...7Ctwgr%5Eauthor Why do you guys do this? I mean, I understand honest mistakes but some are so obviously fake. This dude has one tweet. One.
  6. For those wondering, and on desktop: www.instagram.com/luisrobertm56 Right-click on his profile photo, click "open in new tab". When in the new tab, edit the link and delete "/s150x150". Reload. That's how you full-size it to get a better look.
  7. QUOTE (bmags @ May 20, 2017 -> 11:56 AM) This is hilarious but lol if this is not his real account and he signs with cards. That would be a huge gut punch. I'd also block him, that'll show the fake account. It's his real account, no doubt about it.

  9. QUOTE (MDWhiteSoxFan @ May 20, 2017 -> 10:25 AM) Jose doing the real investigative work for us. You the real MVP My pleasure. Basically every social media post/info people have been using is fake or from an unreliable source unless it's a baseball writer we all know about. To this point, the only concrete social media information there is lies in Robert's Instagram account, on which he has indeed followed a couple White Sox fan pages.
  10. Chicago $27 mil
  11. In case anyone didn't know, the Instagram DM thing was from a "create fake Instagram DM's!" application. The biggest sign is that the messages were at the top of the screen rather than the bottom, which is where they go when a conversation first starts.
  12. QUOTE (flavum @ May 20, 2017 -> 12:00 AM) 18-22 after 40. Probably will be the Sox best quarter of the season. Perhaps the final quarter will be, during which Moncada starts at 2B and hits .330/6/30
  13. QUOTE (bmags @ May 19, 2017 -> 08:49 AM) Yeah the Burr I saw captured the anger and disrespect from Burr that propelled it in act II. He was incredible. You're referring to Josh Henry, right? If so, I agree completely.
  14. QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ May 19, 2017 -> 04:21 PM) Makes sense, the Sox did put him in the leadoff role to start the year. I can't recall if he ever lead off in the minors. I recall him saying this year that he hadn't led off regularly since high school.
  15. "begin" (thread title)
  16. Even if he keeps hitting like this, I do think he'll always have value as a defensive wizard in the infield. I thought he could make it as a starter after last year but now he may just be a career super-sub guy.
  17. Didn't know this thread existed. My parents went to NY (when Lin was still there) and Chi and claimed that ChiHam was better. I went to the Chi one in December and loved it, will be returning in June. Unfortunately, I don't think prices are coming down anytime soon, so going again is definitely pricey, but it's worth it. I don't even like musicals, but I loved this.
  18. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 17, 2017 -> 01:44 AM) Two inning saves are never easy. Melky Cabrera Blooper Reel and no hard hit balls...that said, Robertson's never going to be more than an 80-85% conversion guy whose strikeout totals look impressive but who usually implodes bigly when he does struggle. And he is inarguably overpaid to put up those numbers for a non-elite closer. And apparently Renteria felt that Swarzak had been used too much already in recent weeks...so you're left with Ynoa and Holmberg to close out a game against the heart of their line-up. That's why you don't burn your closer in an extra-inning, tie game when you're the road team and a save opportunity could actually present itself.
  19. QUOTE (jamesdiego @ May 16, 2017 -> 11:07 PM) Isn't Sanchez a good enough defender to play 3rd base? I would play him there if the bat keeps up, Saladino as utility. I always thought of Sanchez as a 2B/SS who doesn't have the arm for 3B. Isn't Saladino/Davidson our go-to "non-Frazier" 3B option?
