Random but is Abreu the only player who doesn't wear the new helmets?

Twins @ White Sox- 4/7/17
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Apr 7, 2017 -> 02:21 PM) Well, they both will continue to get at bats on a regular basis while one emerges over the other (one game sample size for each so far is nothing). But we have a very large sample size of Asche MLB at-bats. We have next to nothing with Davidson. It can't hurt to make him full-time DH.

Davidson was benched so I am now going with A. Garcia.

Twins come in undefeated, somehow. Hopefully they keep winning games this season to help us #TankForBeer

Tigers @ White Sox- 4/6/17
Assuming we're still doing the superstitious game thread starter thing this year, tomorrow's should be up no later than 10 AM CT.

Update: Luis Robert has been cleared according to Rosenthal
QUOTE (daggins @ Apr 6, 2017 -> 12:37 PM) I think its more that the Sox screwed up and traded a good prospect before he had a chance to show anything. Kudos to the Padres, I guess. Other publications are high on Tatis, its not like Law is alone. Why does there need to be a conspiracy or grudge? What happened to Occam's Razor? What did Tatis show, exactly?

Update: Luis Robert has been cleared according to Rosenthal
QUOTE (oldsox @ Apr 6, 2017 -> 12:25 PM) Jose, are you saying that IF the Sox had never traded Tatis, Jr, and IF he were still with the Sox, that Law would not have him ranked as high as he is now ranked? Yes.

Update: Luis Robert has been cleared according to Rosenthal
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 6, 2017 -> 10:25 AM) Keith Law has no White Sox bias. This is absurd. Michael Kopech is his 7th ranked prospect in all of baseball and #1 pitching prospect in the game. Law wasn't high on Moncada or Cespedes either. One prospect doesn't mean that he has no odd anti-Sox trend about him lately.

Wind might make this crazy if it's played.

Update: Luis Robert has been cleared according to Rosenthal
QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 6, 2017 -> 09:43 AM) I roll my eyes at Keith Law a lot, but he's not that high on Robert. Surprise, surprise. Lately, it seems like anyone with even the furthest ties to the White Sox isn't too great in his eyes. And any mediocre former Sox prospect, like Tatis Jr, is the next Trout.

Wednesday's game was PPD
QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Apr 5, 2017 -> 02:19 PM) This is the response I sent John, Thanks for the response. Speaking frankly, this is a bit frustrating. This package was marketed to fans as a value deal of a group of games. I realize things happen with April weather, but I believe it's disingenuous for the White Sox to walk back on the good faith value of 11 games for a refunded portion of a miniscule amount of money and 10 remaining games (maybe 9 now if tomorrow's weather is bad as well). The true value of this campaign is to get butts in seats in a down year, in my opinion, and I believe the White Sox always make a lot of money on concessions per fan, more than the value of the ticket that will go unsold. I would say that refunding $3.54 does nothing for the White Sox or me, but even a free upper reserved ticket in July gets me to a game, gets me to buy hot dogs, candy, beer and whatever else - and gets me to cheer on the squad. We both know this is a rebuilding year for this team, and that there are going to be dog games in July and August against not-popular teams where the organization will struggle at the gate - why give me $3.54 for each of two tickets back when the team could make $50 in concessions for giving ballpark passers the opportunity to exchange for an upper reserved ticket to a handful of organization-picked games? Sincerely, ***** I'd love to hear what they say to that.

QUOTE (shipps @ Apr 4, 2017 -> 08:13 AM) The only thing I am not sure I buy is that it was a money grab. If it was would they be willing to exchange all tickets for future dates in probably the only sell out of the season? But it's not an exact seat exchange. Premium seats are being exchanged for regular seats. So some fans are losing even more money from it.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 4, 2017 -> 08:05 AM) Exactly. If they weren't willing to play under yesterday's conditions, there was absolutely nothing in any forecast or model that would suggest they get the game in. If anything, the rain wasn't as bad as predicted. People have a right to feel snookered because they were. I'm not even that upset about not being able to take today off- I'm upset that there was a big playable window from the start time-4:45 in which they could've gotten an official game in. It wasn't even raining.

Very frustrating day. I was there and cannot go tomorrow. Regardless, that's not why it was frustrating- the lack of communication, coupled with the fact that the field was perfectly playable from the scheduled start time-about 4:45 were inexcusable. I mean, there was a 2 hour period where it wasn't even raining. Could've had an official game. But no, let's make the fans wait and wait and not tell them a single thing.

QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 3, 2017 -> 10:50 AM) Well, hopefully they get the game in and nobody gets hurt. Go Sox...pick to click...Asche--duh! According to the game notes... Jacob May will wear 32. Melky Cabrera changed to 44. Really? That's weird. I thought he always liked 53, even before he was with us.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 3, 2017 -> 08:37 AM) the bottom 4 in the lineup is probably the worst in the majors oh my goodness nevermind. I just looked at the padres lineup. Every time this year someone says, "the White Sox _____ is the worst in the MLB", just mention the Padres and they'll take it back.

2017 White Sox Home and Away Uniform Change
QUOTE (coco1997 @ Apr 2, 2017 -> 06:34 PM) I wouldn't mind them using the spring training as an alt but they desperately need to drop the diagonal "Sox" from the sleeve. It clashes horribly with the 80s' "SOX" logo the chest and the batterman on the cap. This. That thing is a sensory overload as is. It needs to be cleaned up.
