  1. Ken Rosenthal‏Verified account @Ken_Rosenthal Sources: #Nationals’ Eaton has torn ACL, out for year.
  2. Funny how Robertson gets both a blown save and a win. Hope we can finish it out tomorrow
  3. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 29, 2017 -> 10:29 AM) He has been pretty solid for a long time but you are probably right. He is going to run out of gas at some point. And for some perspective, Jennings peripherals have been pretty much the same his entire career, and Miami got Andre Rienzo for him. I wouldn't think his value is any better now. I think we could get a top-10 organizational guy for him. His left-handedness alone does help.
  4. It's July 31st, 2017. The Chicago White Sox are 6 games over .500, 1.5 games behind the Cleveland Indians, and in 2nd place in the AL Central. Avisail Garcia is hitting .325, Matt Davidson has 18 home runs, Rodon has a sub-3 ERA, and the bullpen remains dominant. Yoan Moncada and Lucas Giolito have had strong showings since their early June call-ups. Nevertheless, the Sox swing trades for Dan Jennings, David Robertson, Melky Cabrera, Todd Frazier, and Nate Jones. -------------------------------------------------- Even though that was mostly sarcastic, I can actually see this team being pretty good and still selling, to the dismay of *some* fans.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 28, 2017 -> 09:36 PM) MVP ^
  6. Eaton just went down with a pretty bad looking knee injury.
  7. QUOTE (daggins @ Apr 27, 2017 -> 08:10 PM) Tanaka has an outside shot at a Maddux tonight. You called it
  8. He should DH 3-4 times a week and play 1B the other 3. We can split the 1B time between Frazier and Davidson, for now.
  9. If we want to win without Rondo, we need Canaan to start at PG, with the backup PG minutes being split between Wade/Butler (which would, in turn, just give Zipser more burn at SF). We also need to attack IT when he's on defense. It's inexcusable that he played the final ~16 minutes with 4 fouls and we only posted up on him a handful of times.
  10. Can't hurt to stick him in CF and either flip him for whatever you can get at the deadline if he exceeds expectations, or just DFA him if he sucks.
  11. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 22, 2017 -> 09:44 PM) Was there much complaining going on in the stands? Any laughter at the bad team on the field this year? Any mention of the alleged "rebuild" from the fans? Tell us bout the crowd's demeanor please. People honestly seemed pretty bored for the most part. I guess that happens when you get 3 hits. Lots of applause for May's hit, however I don't know how much of it was sarcastic. Most left in the 7th/8th inning
  12. I was there, pretty boring game. Nice 31k crowd though.
  13. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Apr 22, 2017 -> 09:35 PM) I think it's more that Ron seems to get a boner whenever Abreu struggles, as if he'd prefer to be "right" rather than have Abreu do well. Yeah, it's this. He gets proved wrong time and time again, then jumps on the opportunity to bash him when he's struggling. It's ok to dislike him, that alone doesn't make Ron a troll, but the way he posts about him in the same exact manner only to be proved wrong again and again is what makes him a troll.
  14. I have to admit, your trolling has gotten pretty good. At first, I thought it was a serious post, but then I looked at the user who posted it.
  15. My Bulls in 7 prediction looks a little better now. I don't know if I'd take Boston in 7 now, though.
  16. I'm holding out hope that our history of Cuban players aids us in our recruitment. Abreu and Moncada need to help us out
  17. If he's still hitting like this in mid-June, then we'll talk.
