  1. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Aug 14, 2016 -> 09:25 PM) Could be kissing albers good bye PLEASE be this
  2. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Aug 14, 2016 -> 06:20 PM) Was just told Zach Burdi is getting called up this week after one more appearance in Charlotte #whitesox https://twitter.com/barstoolWSD/status/764958801757818880 Didn't Rabbit have that first
  3. It's not the call that annoys me, it's the lack of consistency. Either enforce the rule at all times or don't enforce it.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 14, 2016 -> 01:37 PM) Stinks that Betts and Bogaerts are superstars now and untouchable I'd be fine with a package centered around Benintendi and Moncada.
  5. Don't worry, we'll go on a mid-September tear, finish 80-82 (but obviously miss the playoffs) and Robin will be handed a 3-year extension.
  6. QUOTE (spiderman @ Aug 13, 2016 -> 10:46 PM) What is Lawrie's contractual status with the White Sox? I'm still not sure if Saladino can get on base enough (he currently doesn't) to be a regular player, but he does have ability and may improve; however, is he a bench player or an everyday 2B? Saladino is not a 2B. 2B is very different from SS and 3B, which are his true positions. He hasn't looked as sharp at second as he has at those two.
  7. QUOTE (Jake @ Aug 12, 2016 -> 10:25 PM) I wouldn't mind seeing Avila back next year. No need to see Navarro around here again, though. Narvaez seems a capable backup. If Avila is back next year, Narvaez is your starting catcher. In other words, injuries will limit Avila to less than half of a season.
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 12, 2016 -> 10:21 PM) Guys ... Saladino is a big league baseball player. He can hit the ball. I'm convinced. Trade Lawrie ASAP and for gosh sakes play Saladino next year. If we're starting Saladino, it should be at SS or 3B. He's not a 2B.
  9. Rodon really brings it with speed now. 96-99 in his last couple starts
  10. 2-0 Sox in the 1st. https://twitter.com/ChuckGarfien/status/764234537631047680 Abreu's son in attendance
  11. Jose Abreu's son watching his father play for the first time https://twitter.com/ChuckGarfien/status/764234537631047680
  12. When I first saw this, I immediately thought of Berlin, but I now have very reliable information that tells me Andrew Berlin will not be the buyer.
  13. He has been horrible this year, so maybe he was pitching through the injury
  14. QUOTE (StrykerSox @ Aug 9, 2016 -> 10:22 PM) Frazier, clutch? How many of his bombs are solo shots? This one doesn't mean s***. During our 23-10 stretch, one of the biggest factors in our success was clutch hits from Frazier. Sure, he went 1-4 every game, but that 1 hit was always a huge homer or RBI double late in the game.
  15. QUOTE (BrianAnderson @ Aug 9, 2016 -> 11:12 AM) THANK YOU!! It's beyond me people are using this argument. I feel like I'm listening to a Pardon My Take Podcast on Barstool. Also, not to get the last word. I'll continue to read the board and appreciate the level-headed posts. But I can't post in a Sox downturn --- a number of posters grasp at straws and throw out ridiculous takes on what this team needs to do. Maybe we should sign Tim Tebow ............. Also my hoping for 2 for 98 is not necessarily a bad thing - it would probably help us get a protected draft pick, hah And I actually am a strong, diehard Sox fan - a dumb one, but a diehard one. I've had season tickets every year since graduating college. I watch 130+ games a year and never mind any of that.... I understand the game. Go back and read my posts if you want - they generally are pretty thought through. So with all that see y'all next year. For those who post thoughtful, fact checked and based statements and use that information to develop and share insight -- THANK YOU and that is the reason I'll still read this board. The others? You're the reason I'll get up out of my seats and move so I don't have to hear about how Brett "Lorrie" and "Tom" Anderson make a great infield. Thanks for being a fan - but get it together. We'll see if you actually do leave, though. Only poster who actually followed through on leaving lately was LDF. Also, Lorrie is the correct pronunciation of Brett Lawrie's last name...
