  1. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 7, 2016 -> 10:25 AM) If Q is somehow passed over for Davis' spot, Yost should be fired into a brick wall. Don't worry, I'm sure Yost will pick some set-up man with a sub-2.5 ERA that he likes.
  2. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jul 5, 2016 -> 07:06 PM) And while Quintana missing is ridiculous in it's own right, you knew he would get overlooked due to his W-L record. Half of the relievers who got in over him don't deserve it. And Marco Estrada, and his 4.14 FIP?? Give me a break.
  3. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 5, 2016 -> 06:17 PM) Maybe some that do not understand the game needs him to say something, but you watch the games and know what is going on. What do you need him to say? Sitting in complete silence when things don't go your way just seems unprofessional to me
  4. QUOTE (Coach @ Jul 5, 2016 -> 07:29 AM) Hawk has a lot information to give but my only complaint about him is he never shuts up. I realize he is there to speak but he should have realized after all these years, sometimes a little silence is a good thing. But sometimes when the opposing team gets a big hit late in a game, Hawk just goes silent for like 30 seconds
  5. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 4, 2016 -> 04:27 PM) I'm actually excited about getting this dude up here. Same. 10-4 in our last 14 is nice, but the offense won't keep producing at this level. I think he will help us out
  6. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 3, 2016 -> 04:48 PM) We've played an absolute gauntlet of a schedule and the rest of the way is a joke, aside from Cleveland and KC This.
  7. I'm officially optimistic again. 4 straight series wins against good teams (aside from the one Twins series) have been huge for us, and I think we got a huge momentum boost today in that 7th inning and the top of the 8th. For those who weren't watching, Abreu was thrown at and got hit in the arm with the bases empty and 2 outs in the 7th. Then, in the bottom of the 7th with 2 outs, bases empty, and a 1-0 count, Quintana threw behind Gattis and warnings were issued, leading to Hinch's (Houston manager) ejection. Then, down 3-0, Quintana came back to strike out Gattis and walked back to the dugout pumped. Our offense followed that up with some big insurance runs in the top of the 8th. I hope we keep that momentum for this New York series, but regardless, this team is back.
  8. Great win, 4 straight series wins too!
  9. Didn't this guy homer off Robertson yesterday? That's the last thing we need right now
  10. Why does Frazier always either nearly get picked off or get picked off first? Just take a shorter lead.
  11. I'd hate Springer on this team. The dude just doesn't show any effort, like how he just walked to first base on a grounder
  12. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jul 3, 2016 -> 03:34 PM) When is Melky due back? The coming series, although no word on which game
  13. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jul 3, 2016 -> 02:30 PM) I believe they do. Teams play better when a certain guy is on the mound. We could go back and forth all day, but Quintana, for example, (entering today) had received 9 runs of support over his previous 9 starts. I don't think he should be at fault for that.
  14. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Jul 3, 2016 -> 03:32 PM) This is the April sox A win today would be 4 straight series wins. We're back!
  15. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 3, 2016 -> 03:29 PM) Dioner is catching today. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jul 3, 2016 -> 03:30 PM) Huh? My bad
  16. Love how he came back to strike him out. This would be a big momentum boosting W
