The pitch framing would be a clear upgrade, but his OBP is ridiculously low and Avila's is actually very solid. As for BABIP, I have developed less and less respect for that stat after watching Todd Frazier hit this season and seeing his BABIP in the .180s/.190s- his contact is seemingly often weak choppers now, so of course his BABIP should be quite low
