  1. Not only is it a buy low situation, but he also is only controlled through 2021. Most of the names from our MLB roster being floated, including Lopez, have more trade value alone than Mazara does.
  2. I know I'm a broken record with Fry but IMO, his trade value should be very close to Bummer's. LHP, long-term control, high strikeout rate, sound mechanics, 5 pitches, etc. The only problem is the walk rate, but it's correctable and he has been back to 2018 Fry for about a month now. What I'm saying is that I would 100% not be ok with trading him for Nomar Mazara.
  3. That was not great sentence structure by me. What I'm saying is I think Anderson is back for Saturday or Sunday, yes.
  4. I would be surprised if Anderson isn't back before then
  5. Yoan Moncada Just kidding (mostly), but good list. I agree with all of them and can't really think of anyone else with 5+ years of experience
  6. I could be completely misremembering the draft thread but I thought there was a period of time where Abrams was the majority preference
  7. As of now, sure, but Robert still has 40+ games to go and will probably crush Brinson's home run total Edit: which is kind of what you said, I just think the difference in power is more than the box scores suggest
  8. Brinson is plenty fast, one of the fastest players in pro baseball. Robert is faster though. We don't know by how much, but it could be significant enough to separate his floor from Brinson's even further.
  9. So his future value isn't what it should be because of Lewis Brinson (a very different player), but if he gets to the bigs and isn't like Brinson, his future value will retroactively be increased? This is almost as bad as PFF grades
  10. Robert has more speed, more game power, and better defense. Such a lazy comp
  11. Zangari OPS over .800 alert
  12. Eh, I don't know if we can give him the multi-year deal he's looking for, plus Bilal Nichols is too good to let rot on the bench. I don't see the fit
  13. Of the guys you listed, probably closest is McClure.
  14. It's weird, I almost wish it's a minor injury, because giving him all these random days off wouldn't make any sense if he were healthy.
  15. For the record, I don't think he gets called up this year either, but now there are a ton of people who understandably believe that Hahn already said it's not happening. There were about 5-6 reporters who were live tweeting that Hahn talk and Fegan is the only one who reported anything remotely similar to "Robert will not be promoted in 2019".
  16. Yeah, I remember this. From what I remember, Fegan (from The Athletic) took this quote and basically paraphrased it as "Rick Hahn says Luis Robert will not be promoted in 2019". Unless he had a private session with Hahn that no other reporter had access to, Hahn didn't really say anything along those lines. That's my one gripe with Fegan, he often misconstrues quotes to align with his own preconceived notions, which is especially annoying when we have so few beat writers that publish similar stuff.
  17. Even if he is on the market, the price would probably be enormous. He's an MVP-caliber player with 3.5 years of control left
  18. He just got called up to MLB
  19. Benyamin "Bustyamin" Bailey 0-2 with 2 strikeouts. Never expect to see that when I check those box scores
  20. This, and also he's a horrible clubhouse fit for this team in particular, IMO. I feel like he'd clash with Anderson and some of the other young guys due to his "respect the game" mentality. That said, if Martin Maldonado can be traded to the Cubs and (so far) avoid drama with Contreras/Baez, I guess anything can happen
  21. Your 140 years of data is meaningless when exit velocities are believed to be at an all-time high now. Pretending that the risk now is equal to the risk in 1880 is disingenuous.
  22. When?
