2019 Trade Deadline Predictions
He's Cuban so he'll be the headliner coming back to us in the trade

Official NHL COVID season thread
Pretty meh trade. I've been reading online reaction and nobody seems to like it or dislike it. I'm in that boat as well. I actually liked Anisimov but it's nice to have some more flexibility

2019 Trade Deadline Predictions
No way we get either of those guys without including Bummer, or perhaps more

7/16 Games
Johnabiell Laureano home run. Another really interesting young OF.

7/16 Games
0-0, 2 BB for Bailey. OBP up to .526, and he has far more PAs than the other guys who come close

Is Giolito an ace?
This is so perplexing. You spent a lot of last season telling everyone that Giolito was interesting and may become something good, and props to you for that. Now he's having an all-star season, and as one of his "biggest fans" (which you kind of aren't, if this is your opinion on him), he's now "nothing more than a 3-4"? That's ridiculous, he isn't the 1.5 ERA guy he was in May but he also isn't suddenly a #4 pitcher. Long-term I think he's a very good #2 or low-end #1 but two bad starts (and really just two bad innings, if we're being honest) doesn't take a guy from future ace to #4.

2019 Trade Deadline Predictions
I love all three of those. RHP Alex Colome and LHP Aaron Bummer to the Dodgers for RHP Dustin May and RHP Josiah Gray That's all I predict.

7/15 Games
Robert singled again since the last update. Finished 2-5, BB, SO, 2 SB

7/15 Games
He gets better with every promotion. At this rate he'll hit like .500/.750/1.250 in his first month in MLB

Sox @ KC - 715pm CT (Giolito v. Junis)
Yeah I’m cool with that. Wouldn’t mind seeing Collins at DH tonight though but oh well

The rumors were (partially) true: Collins to AAA
But why would that person pretend that they were Zack Collins and claim they were going to Charlotte? What are the odds that person even knows who Zack Collins is? Why did this person look upset/angry? These questions need answers.

Sox @ KC - 715pm CT (Giolito v. Junis)
If Collins actually wasn't demoted, it bothers me that he isn't playing today. This is exactly the type of pitcher he profiles to be good against.

- Luis Robert
My point was that if he's Trout, the World Series banners will soften the blow of him leaving. Before anyone says Trout is ringless, Robert's supporting cast is going to be much, much better. That said, he won't be Trout, I'm just responding to the original poster. These would be great problems to have.- To Sell or Not to Sell?
Not only that, but Abreu's 2014 season was MVP-caliber and I have no idea how anyone could argue that it's not also his best season overall- Luis Robert
If Luis Robert becomes Mike Trout, I don't think any of us will care about his service time- Tired of seeing Yolmer Sanchez in starting lineup
Ha, I'm just not as active in game threads as I used to be and I'm assuming that's where your comments on Yolmer would be occurring. What I was more surprised by was the lack of threads about him in general. You wouldn't think that he has been an Engel-level hitter this year just by browsing the forum.- Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
- Tired of seeing Yolmer Sanchez in starting lineup
Bumping this because I'm pretty surprised nobody complains about Yolmer. Out of 156 qualified MLB hitters, Yolmer ranks 149th in wRC+ and 152nd in wOBA. He has a .630 OPS but receives daily at-bats. In 2018 and 2019, Adam Engel posted a 68 wRC+. Yolmer Sanchez has a 73 wRC+. He has literally been an Engel-level of terrible but he plays every day. I get that Rondon has been bad too, but there are definitely solutions. Once Tim is back, Leury can play 2B with Cordell in CF and Jay in RF, for example. I'm just so tired of having a black hole in the lineup every day, and I know he won't be our starter for long thanks to Madrigal, but in the meantime, having to watch him bat every day is excruciating.- Luis Robert
He finished 13th in AL voting that year. He was good but I wouldn't call him an MVP candidate, so I don't think your point remains. Someone who finishes 4th in MVP voting is a candidate, not someone who never finishes better than 8th- Luis Robert
What? Yoenis Cespedes has never even finished top-8 in MVP voting. Puig has never finished better than top-15. Abreu has finished 4th. None of this really matters but the argument you're making is just not even close to being true.- PTC Monday June 15th at 7:15 PM CDT Chicago at Kansas City
Moncada- 7/14 Games
If Moncada is truly a .900 OPS guy (wow it feels so cool to type that) I want him batting 2nd. Where would you put him in your scenario, 3rd? Because there's also Eloy and Vaughn... I guess these are good problems to (hopefully) have - Luis Robert
