  1. What could have happened in the last week that would make him (or anybody) no longer excited about the team's future? Did I miss something?
  2. No, not really. How do you know he's unable to go long in games?
  3. The same guy said he wants to trade for Addison Russell in another thread so I think (hope) it's just a troll job
  4. It's not that he has a bunch of trade value, it's that Mazara doesn't. Unless you're just poking fun at people who wanted him DFA'd
  5. No, I do not think Jose Rondon will be back next year
  6. 9 K through 4 IP so far for Guzman, the 16 year old LHP
  7. https://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/bulls/jalen-rose-wouldnt-be-surprised-if-anthony-davis-ends-bulls
  8. Sorry to bump an old thread but I wanted to thank you guys for commenting about this. This morning I wrote about Bailey's season, and this discussion led me to the realization that Bailey's OBP is literally the best all-time in the Dominican Summer League. https://soxon35th.com/white-sox-prospect-benyamin-bailey-has-the-highest-on-base-percentage-in-dominican-summer-league-history/
  9. It's still trading 4.5 years of a high ceiling SP for 2.5 years of a talented but replacement level RF. Sure, Mazara is also high ceiling, but he has had far more opportunities to prove himself than Lopez. Simply due to the years of control, I wouldn't want to pull the trigger on that deal but I can at least understand why some would.
  10. Not only is it a buy low situation, but he also is only controlled through 2021. Most of the names from our MLB roster being floated, including Lopez, have more trade value alone than Mazara does.
  11. I know I'm a broken record with Fry but IMO, his trade value should be very close to Bummer's. LHP, long-term control, high strikeout rate, sound mechanics, 5 pitches, etc. The only problem is the walk rate, but it's correctable and he has been back to 2018 Fry for about a month now. What I'm saying is that I would 100% not be ok with trading him for Nomar Mazara.
  12. That was not great sentence structure by me. What I'm saying is I think Anderson is back for Saturday or Sunday, yes.
  13. I would be surprised if Anderson isn't back before then
  14. Yoan Moncada Just kidding (mostly), but good list. I agree with all of them and can't really think of anyone else with 5+ years of experience
  15. I could be completely misremembering the draft thread but I thought there was a period of time where Abrams was the majority preference
  16. As of now, sure, but Robert still has 40+ games to go and will probably crush Brinson's home run total Edit: which is kind of what you said, I just think the difference in power is more than the box scores suggest
  17. Brinson is plenty fast, one of the fastest players in pro baseball. Robert is faster though. We don't know by how much, but it could be significant enough to separate his floor from Brinson's even further.
  18. So his future value isn't what it should be because of Lewis Brinson (a very different player), but if he gets to the bigs and isn't like Brinson, his future value will retroactively be increased? This is almost as bad as PFF grades
  19. Robert has more speed, more game power, and better defense. Such a lazy comp
  20. Zangari OPS over .800 alert
  21. Eh, I don't know if we can give him the multi-year deal he's looking for, plus Bilal Nichols is too good to let rot on the bench. I don't see the fit
  22. It's weird, I almost wish it's a minor injury, because giving him all these random days off wouldn't make any sense if he were healthy.
