  1. He certainly doesn't deserve death threats for pitching poorly, but there's also this: https://deadspin.com/trevor-bauer-has-been-harassing-a-woman-for-more-than-a-1831545503
  2. Santana is the only real answer there, and even if he remains at this pace, Abreu would be the backup
  3. Self-explanatory question. I've seen it discussed in various game threads and figured I'd make a poll. My guess is Abreu as a starter (the AL 1B crop is awful) and Anderson as a bench guy. I think Moncada will be deserving but gets snubbed.
  4. That, and also the weird start time
  5. Robert in RF today. Gonzalez in CF
  6. He crushed that ball. I wish he'd bat somewhere 1-5 every day
  7. No, this was for Frare and Engel. Jones was already shelved
  8. Also, the Sox are #1 in attendance among AL Central teams
  9. Doesn't Matt Kemp have a broken rib or something?
  10. It was an aberration in the sense that Anderson isn't gonna be a .375 hitter. He's already well below that. But even in this "slump" of sorts, he's still making pretty good contact.
  11. Moncada has a 127 wRC+ and you're trying to use him as a cautionary tale?
  12. Happiest day for the White Sox rebuild since the fateful day he was called up in 2017.
  13. I don't think Vieira can come back so soon since he was just optioned and there's no injury. I'll go Burr and Frare/Foster
  14. His contact hasn't really regressed, but his BABIP is starting to drop a little, as expected. Just the luck evening out. So it's definitely encouraging to see him walk in the meantime. I think our all-stars will be Abreu and one of Anderson/Moncada, with the other getting snubbed. I guess Colome or Herrera could be in that conversation too.
  15. I could see the argument for Foster, but a healthy Hamilton and Johnson are about as exciting as you can get when it comes to relief prospects
  16. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=foster002mat Johnson has not pitched in AA yet, but at 23 and having dominated A+, he could be here in September if he returns soon Hamilton has been awful but he also isn't totally healthy
  17. I had never heard of him prior to last week. Such a random guy to be Hank Aaron down in A ball
