  1. The month of May has been like 10 games, so if we're pretending that such small samples matter, then he had reached base 5 times in 10 plate appearances entering today. Hot streak!
  2. Again, I have no clue how one bad game = major funk. He was on a hot streak entering today for crying out loud
  3. Exactly. His xStats suggest he is due for positive regression too.
  4. You keep repeating this yet conveniently ignore that he has been really good these past two series. Just because someone has one bad game doesn't mean that he needs a day off. He reached base 3x yesterday and 2x the day before.
  5. Either Cordell "struck out" with 2 strikes or Benetti/Stone just missed that he was called for interference
  6. Agreed. McCann was a very smart and amazing signing by Hahn
  7. Great defense all around there by Sanchez, Abreu, and McCann. Beautiful play
  8. Stroman is an awful matchup for him. I hate seeing Tim hit 7th every day but I'm not as upset about it today.
  9. 119 EV for Vlad just now. Wow
  10. It depends on what constitutes an attempt, I suppose. Does the bat need to make contact with the ball, or does the hitter need to simply show bunt? I'm referring to the hitter showing bunt, then pulling it back after a pitch or two, and then just swinging.
  11. Would you mind sharing a link to where you saw that? And does that take attempted sac bunts into account, or is it just successful sacrifices? If it's solely the latter, then the data is skewed and does not accurately reflect the White Sox affinity for sac bunts.
  12. With you on this. I'm starting to accept it though.
  13. I’m surprised there isn’t more complaining about the 7th inning sac bunt while down 2 runs against a struggling pitcher. Could have been a different outcome if that hadn’t been called.
  14. Ricky Renteria has made me a bunting scold
  15. Buchholz has been an absolute gas can this season so we're either gonna score 12 runs or he's gonna bounce back with 7 shutout innings
  16. I think he'll end the season with a K-rate between the 24% it was hovering around for awhile and the 34% it is in that sample. Maybe somewhere around 27-29%. If that ends up happening, his numbers will still look very good at the end of the year, all other things equal.
  17. On this subject, I actually just wrote about this and why I believe his start is legit. Basically, his BABIP is about normalized relative to his contact profile and his xwOBA/wOBA ratio suggests that, if anything, he has been unlucky, so as long as he maintains his contact profile and his K rate doesn't jump astronomically, this is sustainable. https://soxon35th.com/2019/05/10/yoan-moncadas-luck-has-normalized-and-his-numbers-are-still-terrific/
  18. And now it's back on the field!
  19. Moncada's error got changed to a hit. I agree with that. Now change Tilson's to an error
  20. Eh, it was a tough play with the slick infield. Sucks because he was having such a great day defensively prior.
  21. Collins left the game defensively in the middle of an inning
  22. No Yolbert?
