  1. Which I don’t get, because from the Sox perspective you’d probably rather restart this than have it be suspended through 5
  2. The decision to restart at that time given the radar really makes little sense.
  3. I don’t know how you could possibly argue this
  4. I know this is a joke but it also wouldn't be that surprising
  5. Alcides Escobar starting games for the White Sox would be remarkably efficient in making me not watch any games
  6. Abrams, Vaughn, Rutschman, Witt, Lodolo... Bleday/Bishop?
  7. Yoan is such a smart hitter. That's a few times this year where they've done a shift on him where there's nobody in the general SS area, and he just eases a single right to that spot
  8. Zavala is on the 40 and Collins isn’t. That’s how I see it
  9. Really hope you're right. I just have accepted that it's Abrams at this point
  10. His OPS has dropped about 600 points!!!
  11. I definitely don't know the entire history of White Sox managers, but I do strongly believe that Ventura was a better in-game manager than Renteria is, and that is not a compliment towards Ventura
  12. Absolutely. I was referring to the people who clog other threads with "____ is a bust, ____ sucks, this team won't even win 60 games" and whatnot. In those cases, it's oftentimes obvious that they are wrong but impossible to know for certain for at least a few months. In this case, the doom and gloom was killed in like 4 days. But yes, when it comes to predictions in general, all of us have been wrong about plenty over the years.
  13. Maybe, but I think it would hurt us if anything
  14. He said nobody ever talks about it though.
  15. A lot of 0-1 win predictions in here. One of the rare Soxtalk threads where overwhelming negativity can actually be proven wrong in a short span
  16. Agreed. Anderson might even start due to his new popularity nationwide
  17. Agreed. I think he gets way more than that, though. Like, 4/80+. He's the kind of guy front offices love
  18. Flip Leury and Eloy and I’m a huge fan. also wouldn’t mind flipping Moncada and Anderson but that’s not a big deal
  19. Sorry I've been out of the loop, but where did you hear this? I feel like Brogdon is gonna get paid way more than people are expecting.
  20. I think the rumors were Rivera/Fulmer/Bummer and Fry/Bush, something like that
  21. Highly doubt it. Seth Beer is a more realistic trade target from Houston, IMO.
  22. That's not even a lowball offer. I would offer him like 4/12 and see if he bites. 4/25, which is 6+ AAV for a guy with a .400+ BABIP? I think he'd jump all over that
  23. I'm about to start Powerball by Rob Neyer which seems kinda sorta similar. Let me know how you like Astroball.
