  1. Maybe. I guess that depends on the team they might be talking to, their need, and how they evaluate Lee.
  2. I agree. I might be in the minority here, but I think Lee might bring back more value in a trade than Sosa. I realize that Lee has no options left but his position is a premium and he's solid at it. Add to that he comes with 4 years of control. There are definitely teams in need of catching- Phillies, Padres, Giants and I'm sure there's others. Lee might be able to start for a couple of those teams too. You might command a solid leverage reliever in return or a flyer on a low A ball high ceiling prospect - pitching or OFs. Maybe I'm overvaluing him 🤷 but its obvious the Sox are going to do something. They picked up Romo to replace Lee.
  3. Yeah, and Cashman canceled all handshake agreements with future international prospects? Including the #1 kid in the 2030 class whom now the Whitesox are in agreement with for $6 million. Very strange.
  4. And Blake Larson is a little low for me on this list. A left handed starter who was looking really good at instructs before TJ. Landon Hodge should be higher. I'm tired of seeing Ky Bush on these lists too. A 26 year old reliever at best. And he wasn't even looking that good before TJ.
  5. For chicagoans who want to see him live, UCLA is at Iowa in March, at Michigan St. In May, and the Big 10 tournament end of May in Omaha.
  6. I hear you. Gene Watson was on CHGO yesterday with Sean Anderson and was explaining how these 2 picks are very similar or the equivalent to 3rd round picks out of college because of the age. And that the Sox do have a plan in place to help both of them to succeed here. Now. Whether they do is another question. Actually, I find the second pick as the one with the greater chance to stick around all year in the bullpen.
  7. Alot of people seem to be overlooking them a bit. They are buyers. Looking for an of help. Bleacher Report just ranked them the best farm system post draft. And we're pretty high before the draft. Very well could be a match up for Robert.
  8. So everyone but the first 4 picks and the 20th have signed. Anyone keeping a running tally of where we're at with the draft pool money?
  9. Why stop there? We can keep playing this game Imagine if the Nats didn't swoop in at the last with $100k for Soto. In 2016 Imagine if the front office didn't trade for Shields Imagine if the front office guaranteed the money to Machado. And one more for you, Imagine if KW didn't draft Mitchell from LSU and took Mike Trout instead. Imagine that lineup? Moncada would be the 2nd baseman.
  10. The Sox AAA teams have always been far away. Vancouver, Nashville, and Charlotte. Some teams are like that. Not every team has a close AAA affiliate. I too live in northern Indiana and would love the AAA Sox to be in indy. But I don't believe anyone's lease is up.
  11. The 7th inning. The way this game is going
  12. Should you redo your first 10 round grades?
  13. What time does the draft start tonight? Still not used to the draft being at the all-star break.
  14. Very good interview w/Jim Callis! I think for sure we will have 2 if not 3 top 100 prospects in this system. Really enjoyed the podcast.
  15. Yeah when Rutherford is really your lone offensive highlight it's a long night.
  16. I would imagine he would sign as part of next year's class. Most teams are tapped out with this year's class. Our Sox have some money left but probably not enough. Honestly, not sure where the Sox interest is with him.
  17. Hey DirtySox thanks for all the updates!
  18. Well I guess I'm not the only one struggling with the sign in.
  19. And first 4-1 start since 2005! We know what happened that year!
  20. I see the first mock draft is up at future sox/Sox machine. James has us taking left handed high school prep star Justin Crawford, Carl's son. I like it!
