Im not sure i want to get involved with Darvish. That's alot of $$$ for a pitcher entering his 34, 35, and 36 age year. Not to mention the prospects he would require.

Well San Diego too. Shields was hurt when he was traded to us. Traded others too before they were hurt. Kept separate books about it. And got in trouble. So this is great. You reap what you sow!

Yeah it seems like it too. Let's see what I saw on Twitter the last few hours. The Portillo's/Cishek alliance (if you believe what they say or not) is claiming that Springer is still top choice. But, we need to sign him by Thanksgiving or chances of signing with us diminish. Our own Y2Jimmy is saying Hahn is working hard righr now trying to sign him. And I don't think he meant there is anything imminent. Just working on it. And one of the national guys (maybe Heyman - sorry forgot) is saying Toronto is going after Springer. I think that summarizes the afternoon.

Maybe Atlanta feels pretty confident that a closer to normal 162 game season is possible with news of (now 2) vaccines ready for public release sometime 1st quarter. So normal to bigger salaries maybe easier to handle.

I like Pederson. But that would be very underwhelming. I would be very disappointed if that's what we came away with.

I agree with you. I don't mean it that way. I'm just meaning Jose looks at Jerry like a father. So for all the fans looking for a revolt from the players well probably not happening. I'm not sure Jose even has social media or has been following all of the reactions by sox nation on Twitter.

Also, Jose has been and will continue to be very loyal to Jerry Reinsdorf. So Jose will say the right things about Tony and the front office. They've been good to Jose.

That was 2 offseasons ago. Don't think Katz was with the Giants yet. I may be mistaken on this but I thought it was before SF.

I'm not sure of the other candidates and I wouldn't be surprised if Masur is with them or not next season. It really was a different dynamic when he was added with DJ. I'm not sure if I'm a fan of them yet. Honesty, only heard 7 or 8 games on the radio.
