  1. I'm sorry but I'm starting to be with Balta. This organization sucks from top to bottom. They were a fraudulent team to start and it's showing. I don't hate this trade but it's more of half measures from Kenny.
  2. Glad I've ignored this trash again. Seasons over boys. They aren't going anywhere but bottom feeding in this division. It's a waste of time sadly
  3. I'm in the court of full sale mode but it's a gona be good trade. I'm fine with it
  4. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 3, 2016 -> 09:20 PM) Can't go there yet. 6 weeks? Maybe. I'm not watching right now because of Robin. So just score check day to day. They still suck like last year. I fully support selling everyone. That's all I'm gona say because I don't wana pollute the GAMEDAY thread with a bunch on sell mode posts.
  5. That's not at all what I said. I just said I appreciate what he's done for this organization and I consider myself blessed to have witnessed it. I've said its time for a power structure change however.
  6. I'd absolutely make that trade. That's giving us impact bat from the left side and another good 3B prospect to go along with Trey.
  7. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 2, 2016 -> 10:35 AM) Probably the same reason JR hired Jerry Krause to unearth Latin American talent for the White Sox...especially in Central/South America. That one didn't last very long. Loyalty over logic. All that said, KW has a superior eye for talent than Hahn if that was the ONLY qualification to be the GM. I'm always gona have love for KW because of it. I think it's time he goes or loses some of his power however but I'm not gona listen to the almighty antagonist trash him likes he's some s*** talent evaluator.
  8. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 2, 2016 -> 01:16 AM) Detroit has shuffled their rotation a bit with Boyd joining and Sanchez banished to the pen. FRI Rodon vs. Zimmerman SAT Sale vs. Pelfrey SUN Quintana vs. Justin Verlander They better bomb Pelfrey. Zimmerman has been really good I can see being shut down that game. Verlander seems to be hit or miss the little bit I've seen of him.
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 1, 2016 -> 09:00 PM) That has been Detroit and (while GM, Dombrowski's) Achilles' heel for nearly a decade. That's why they couldn't win it all obviously
  10. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jun 2, 2016 -> 12:17 AM) The love of mediocre declining veterans is endless. But I have little doubt that ace evaluator Williams will grant all wishes. That "ace talent evaluator" helped bring the Sox their first WS in 90 years.
  11. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ May 30, 2016 -> 06:48 PM) And if you run an organization without any accountability you will have no chance. Sometimes those "meathead" fans are right and this is one of those times. Robin is a joke and needs to go. Exactly. I wouldn't call many on here meatheads. This is a very knowledgeable board. I think the biggest issue with this organization is the accountability or lack-thereof
  12. *facepalm* there's no defending him. He has to put his players in the best position to succeed and he doesn't. He makes mind boggling decisions and is managing like George Costanza in Seinfeld when he's trying to get canned. Robin sucks. The real manager is the bench coach.
  13. The whole team is smoke and mirrors. They're going nowhere but crashing down.
  14. I honestly have faith in Hahn although I wana see the whole thing blown up. I think I'd trust Hahn if he was in charge. JR needs to sack up and fire KW, let Hahn be in charge. Robin needs fired ASAP. Honestly laughable that's he's still managing. This says all I need to know about this organization. Loyal to a fault and will never succeed unless it's lightning in a bottle like 2005. I can't watch until robins gone.
  15. Waste of a trade. This team is going nowhere. Season is done.
  16. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 28, 2016 -> 08:55 PM) This. Shields is laughing all the way to the bank. He's making 21M for 16, 17 and 18. Why opt out ? There's no way he can get more money than he's getting now. I don't care how well he pitched. At 35 (next year) no one offers him more than what he's already got guaranteed through 2018 and the extra 2M to buy him out for 2019. Exactly. I seriously doubt he'd get that on the open market let alone if he pitched well. That's a lot of money given his age
  17. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 28, 2016 -> 08:22 PM) I care a lot about his contract. Remember when Danks and LaRoche contracts prevented the Sox from doing much in the free agent outfield market or relegated them to dumpster diving for Rollins,Latos and Jackson ? Now apply that for the rest of this year plus 2017 and 2018 with Shields . I have hope though that some other team presents a better package than the Sox are willing to offer or are willing to eat more of his contract. Come on Red Sox, Yankees, and Dodgers ! To be fair, next years FA class sucks. I'm not sure about 2018 besides Harper and were not going to be in that derby.
  18. Can't believe they let this snowball after the Texas game. This team is full of mental midgets. Starts with Robin.
  19. QUOTE (Jake @ May 28, 2016 -> 02:56 PM) They definitely have to look into doing something with Fulmer, but it's not obvious to me whether demotion is the answer. For one, he seems to be getting worse, which would suggest it isn't just the competition. You also want to know that he's actually locating the pitches rather than taking advantage of worse competition. With that said, I'm a strong proponent of the idea that you can irrevocably harm a player by letting him play too badly for too long. The last I heard was a SSS podcast with Buddy Bell where he talked about Fumler working on things. Mechanics IIRC. Whatever it is it's not working at all.
  20. I'll be sick yo see them trade for Shields. There's no point now. Just blow it all up and hit the reset button now. Now the stadium will go back to being a ghost town next home stand.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ May 28, 2016 -> 04:53 PM) JR has done a nice job of making fans of his two teams hate the organizations Yup. I'm a fan of both and can't stand either now. It's a shame how loyal he is. Boy were we lucky for 2005.
  22. Love this forum but I can't take this team anymore. No accountability. It all starts with JR. f*** him. I'm done until Robin is fired. Kenny needs to go as well. Let Hahn be in charge for all I care.
