QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Aug 8, 2015 -> 06:05 PM) If we go 45-10 over the final stretch, we'd only need KC to go 31-23 in the final 2 months to pass them. We just can't afford to lose any head-to-head matchups. We gotta get the W and give them a L every time we play. 45-10?!!!! What has this team shown you that leads you to believe we can do that?

Can't wait til Shark is gone also

Let's go shark

QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Aug 8, 2015 -> 05:56 PM) You think we can afford to lose one or both of these games and still have a chance? Sorry to rain on your fantasy land, but we gotta win these games. We have 0.0% right now to come back and win the division let alone make a f***ing wild card. This team sucks. Actually you're in fantasy land pal.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 8, 2015 -> 05:55 PM) 2-0 Sox on LaRoche GIDP. No RBI. Cabreroid scores. Pay LaRoche to go away after this season please.

QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Aug 8, 2015 -> 05:41 PM) We gotta win tonight and tomorrow if the desire is still there to win the division. A loss either night will likely put us too far beyond the Royals with too little time to catch them. Is this a serious post?

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 7, 2015 -> 09:15 PM) The thing with Robin is that he's done absolutely nothing in his time as Sox manager to deserve another year after this. The ideal scenario would be a Dombrowski/Bud Black combo to take over for Hahn/Ventura, but we could never get so lucky. I know right. There's just no way they keep him. The fans can't stand him and know he sucks. We'll never hire DD back. As for he next manager, who knows. I just want him gone. What's the word on Sandy Alomar Jr.? Isn't he supposed to be up for jobs? There's others like Dave Martinez and some up and comers. I said screw it and hired Sandy on MLB 15 lol. Having a night drinking and revamping the sox. Just got Puig and signed Wieters.

Robin gone is step one this offseason. I hope we start to hear some rumblings in a month.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 7, 2015 -> 08:28 PM) They should go with exactly that lineup and expect that you're working 2 rookies into the rotation and you've got 2 rookies in the infield and a struggling 24 year old RF and 2 large expiring contracts and major holes at C and in the infield. Play the kids, clear the contracts out, let guys move up in the minors, maybe have Anderson ready to go by July, and have both money to spend and very few holes to spend it on and lots of assets to choose from after 2016. I want a bat this offseason. If we spend big money on Shark and not a bat I'm going to be pissed off.

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 7, 2015 -> 08:18 PM) Going into last Thursday, the Sox and Cubs were both 2.5 games out of the 2nd wild card. If the Sox go on to lose tonight, the Cubs will have made up 4 games on that total while the Sox lost 3.5 on that total. Needless to say, the last week has sucked. This season has flat out sucked. I'm just ready to get it over with and move on to the offseason. Hope Robin moves on and we get a bat in the offseason and make a few more moves and get this team ready for '16.

The White Sox complete Rebuild Discussion Thread

QUOTE (scs787 @ Aug 5, 2015 -> 08:39 PM) To me, the question is do you think you have a better chance at winning with Sale-Q-Rodon-Fulmer-EJ/Montas and free agent hitters or do you think you can get fair value on guys like Sale and Q to "Rebuild" that way. I think maybe you entertain trading Q for hitting, but I wouldn't really call that a rebuild. IMO, I keep the rotation minus Shark and Danks. I go get a Cespedes or Heyward and platoon them with Avi in RF/DH. I fill Sharks spot with EJ and Fulmer takes Danks spot. (If Fulmer is ready. Montas needs at least another year). I'm not moving Quintana now. I was all for it but the more I think about this rotation, we need him if we don't keep Shark and get rid of Danks. (Not sure what Danks contract is remaining). -

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 5, 2015 -> 05:33 PM) Until KW is no longer evaluating talent all this is a pipe dream. KW was all in on Abreu wasn't he? -
QUOTE (LDF @ Aug 5, 2015 -> 06:28 PM) with a hr today, maybe there is something that was written. i have always been a fan of steverson even when the sox weren't doing ok. I'm a fan of Stevenson also. I like our coaching staff just want a new manager.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Aug 5, 2015 -> 02:58 PM) How does Hawk not realize saying Kansas City Special every inning is annoying? A division rival nonetheless. Go broadcast their games and deep throat them. I'm tired of hearing it honestly.

Rodon will have his growing pains. Not all top pitchers can come in and be Chris Sale. I'm not worried about him quite yet.
-
People need to calm down on Avi. Really premature. Continue your hate on Flowers and others

The White Sox complete Rebuild Discussion Thread

This team doesn't need a complete rebuild. Should've done it two years ago if you were. We need to make another big FA bat signing this offseason and see what the rest of the roster will be. I'm so so on Shark and not at $100 million. -
Someone that can have this team ready for '16. Fundamentally sound and not make brutal win costing decisions. Someone that can get the most out of these guys. I like Gardenhire as Robins replacement. I know Minnesota has sucked his past few seasons but he hasn't had the best teams. I just want Robin gone. I really do doubt that he's gone after the year.

Sox have tried to sign Samardzija to a long term deal

QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 07:41 AM) If someone gives Heyward $100 million, they're the dumbest franchise today. No way is he worth that. Not even close. Didn't say he was but a young hitter on the market will get a god payday. -

QUOTE (beautox @ Aug 3, 2015 -> 06:36 PM) Heyward will only be 26 to start the season next year and Cespedes will be 30 without a pick attached to him. I'd have to look at Heywards numbers but he would be another guy. He's going to get $100 mil also. Anyone thinking otherwise must be ignoring how valuable bats are. -

The blue jays gave up those top specs for Tulo and Price. Shark isn't even on David's doorstep. -

QUOTE (LDF @ Aug 3, 2015 -> 10:21 AM) 100 ummm do you not think that is a little costly??? Not for this team. We're going to have to overpay anyways because we suck. A hitter MUST be our main target -
Ya, this is it. I'll still watch some games but this seasons done. We're not getting to .500 nor the playoffs. I missed the whole Baserunning screw up. What happened?
-
Need a sweep guys.
-
We need two sweeps because well likely lose 2 of 3 at least in KC
