Every time an opponent scores a run it does not require a player or coach to be fired, traded or released. Q pitched around it and did fine, let us calm ourselves.

Everyone, except for the Cardinals a few years ago, feels this way. Especially when there's not many HR's. That's because the double that scores the runs winds up on 2nd and the inning eventually has to end. It's natural, the Sox have had plenty of hits in big situations but if the ball's not leaving the park eventually runners are going to be stranded.

Its time for him to start batting 8th or 9th. If the middle order guys are starting to get it he cant be down there doing this, when he heats up bring him back but for now its brutal.

Lobstein is not facing one of the best hitters ever, a guy who murders him ruthlessly and another who suddenly has the health of a 2 year old Border Collie when facing LHP... back-to-back-to-back. It takes pitches to get through that, if it means he goes 6 then that's just the breaks. Detroit wont suck until Vmart, Iglesias and a few others wind up on the DL (they will, almost undoubtedly).

He's going to have to get Cespedes out at some point this season, dont just run and hide from the guy.

Miggy-Vmat-Cespedes owns him, its a problem. He can mow down everyone else but those 3 are gonna give him fits.

This is just not correct. They've roped a lot of balls right to Detroits OFers. There's been some bad luck and some bad AB's, but this defeatism that runs in direct contradiction of reality is annoying.

Tomorrow is a 1:10 first pitch right? It's gonna be blazin' out tomorrow. Tonight should at least be pleasant which is a welcome departure from miserable.

I didn't realize it the first time I went the through the schedule but we will have played more games against NL opponents than non-ALC AL opponents on May 9th. That wont change until (presumably) May 27th. I hate the new schedules.

Its kinda weird because a lot of these players are not so good in the cold and its been somewhere between chilly and freezing every home game (I know because I've gone to like 9 of them at this point).

I'm not saying we cant sweep and I'm not saying it'd be a bad thing if we did. If we sweep I'll be very happy! Probably pull a few Soxtalkers away from the ledge. But the Sox dont NEED to sweep. Good teams will beat good pitchers, and the Tigers are a good team.

They always play better when they wear those uniforms.
