  1. When and where did you hear this?
  2. We might have a shot tonight as the Rays are coming back to earth getting shutout 2 straight games by the Astros.
  3. Great rant but Lee Elia’s epic rant about Cub fans in the early 80s is still #1.
  4. As evidenced by the silence in the clubhouse last year when TA was named to the All Star team, these guys didn’t get along last year and it looks like they don’t have a lot of kumbaya going on this year either.
  5. I’m a year older than you and attended the second game of the 59 Series but as far as bad teams the 68,69,70 teams were really bad, 75 and 76 were tough as were the late 80s. 2013 was bad and then we go on to the rebuild years. 1977 was probably one of the most fun seasons in Sox history, 6 game lead on July 31 but they faded down the stretch, thing is except for the great offense from the Southside Hitmen we all knew that we didn’t have the pitching and defense to win the division. There also have been some teams that weren’t all that bad and probably should have won something but didn’t like 1963, 1964, 1965, 1967, 1972, 1994(strike year) 2003 and 2006.
  6. He knows who they are.
  7. How do you fix it when you have a bunch of quitters and losers on the team. Somehow someway they have to clean house from the front office to the clubhouse. We heard about dissension last year, I think it’s still a problem and I’d really like to know who the cancers are on the team. I have a hunch but I’ll leave it at that.
  8. It very simple, these guys have quit and don’t give a s%*#.
  9. So far today, 14Ks and 1BB.
  10. Too early to tell if they are as bad as the 1970 team that finished at 56-106. One thing is that this team is probably the most unlikeable bunch of stiffs I’ve seen since 1952 when I became a White Sox fan. I did vote that I’ve never seen anything like this because it just seems to me like these guys don’t care, a lot of talent going to waste.
  11. Does it really matter who bats lead off the way these guys are performing with the lumber?
  12. I’m not sure about surviving this mess but then again I went through the 68,69 and 1970 years when things were as bad as they got on the field and at the box office. The difference is those teams were bad but didn’t quit and we had some guys like Aparicio, Melton, May, Hermann and Wood who could play the game. We have quite a few on this team who look like they have quit and are also lacking baseball smarts. One more thing is that we all heard that there was dissension on the team last year, there is a possibility it’s still there.
  13. First move is to bring in AJ Pierzynski as manager, hiring a guy from a losing organization like the Royals was a huge mistake.
  14. Batting a robust .107. Mercy.
  15. Looks to me like they want to lose.
  16. These guys are losers and don’t give a flying ****.
  17. Let’s make it a triple play and add Grifol.
  18. I’ve always liked KK but he spends a lot of time on the IL, in that respect he’d fit right in with the Sox. When he’s healthy he’s the best centerfielder I’ve ever seen.
  19. Yep, there are absolutely no untouchables on this team.
  20. We reached .500 during and after the Houston series and won’t see it again in 2023. The real question is how many games under .500 will they be at seasons end.
  21. Help and A Hard Days Night by the Beatles.
