  1. Another good job by Shane.
  2. I agree, Meidroth has to be the second baseman and Sosa has to play the rest of the way at first, work with Sosa as much as possible.
  3. Good job, out of the inning, if the Braves score 2 there it would probably be the game as we don’t come back much.
  4. Teel hit the crap out of that ball.
  5. You can cancel the post game show.
  6. They need to work on cutting down on his swing especially with 2 strikes, Vargas too. There’s a fine line there as you want them to still be aggressive and not turn them into singles hitters.
  7. I remember him like it was yesterday. Marvelous Marv Throneberry of the Mets from the same era was another one, he wasn’t as good of a hitter as Stuart but he was the face of those early days of the Mets, not because he was good but because he was bad and fit right with those horrible Mets. As Casey said; can’t anybody here play this game. The same thing could have been said of the 2024 White Sox.
  8. Gomez with 2 good starts in a row, hope he keeps it up.
  9. Need at least 2 more runs here.
  10. Hopefully the start of something big for Luis.
  11. He’s swinging at everything, time to move him down in the order.
  12. If Sosa winds up at second base for good that means Meidroth will be the odd man unless they move Monty to 3B and Chase takes over at SS, not my favorite scenario. The other possibility is sticking Mead at 3B where he would be another Vance Law, OK hitter but no power.
  13. I thought first base was it but he failed to catch a fairly easy pickoff throw yesterday as he did a couple a weeks ago, definitely no Mike Squires at 1B.
  14. I hate it that a young guy like Sosa winds up as a DH, there has to be a position where he would be just average.
  15. I believe that the GM and the Manager need to be on the same page on certain issues but ultimately any in game decisions should be made by the manager and I think it was Venable’s decision and his only to remove Baldwin from Saturday nights game in the 5th inning after a hit and 2 nice plays in right field including a perfect throw to double off a runner at first base, at least he let him play the whole game Sunday with Baldwin responding with 3 line drive hits. It's about building confidence in young players. They should put Brooks in LF and leave him there the rest of the year and Beni can DH.
  16. I admit guilt, I thought they were on the way to at least 70 wins. .
  17. Last year I could see going winless in KC or anywhere else but not this year. A few years ago the Orioles lost all 18 games they played against the Rays so crazy stuff happens. Venable eventually might be good but I still say it was a mistake to hire a rookie manager.
  18. When it rains, it pours. A month ago I was getting excited and saw a nice future ahead, now I’m not sure.
  19. Give them a gift stolen base and he comes around to score, just pathetic.
