I'm one guy who did not want Tank traded, he is too young to give up on. He now has his chance to step it up and reach the potential we all thought he had when we signed him. Up until now it looked like a platoon role for him but with Garcia out for the year Tank has to do the job, I'm not a big DeAza fan but I guess he gets LF full time and Danks will be the 4th outfielder and a late inning replacement for Tank. It could still be a fun year as we watch some of these guys develop.

I did not see the play but I know one thing, I see way too much unnecessary diving for balls in MLB. Before we moved to Florida I was a pretty good friend of Jimmy Piersall who was a hell of a center fielder and he despised it when guys dove for balls.

Look at the Dodgers and Angels, both parks are surrounded by parking lots and nothing else. Nothing around Yankee Stadium that is trendy, same with Citi Field. The Phillies have played in south Philly for years, nothing around there, same with Atlanta. The Indians are downtown and after years of great crowds, their attendance is worst than ours. I guess every city is different but if a fan is a true follower of his team it doesn't matter what's around the park unless there are all kinds of criminals hanging around to mug you.
