Doug Rader was full of crap, that 1983 team was unbeatable after May, the last 4 months of 1983 was the best baseball by the White Sox that I’ve ever seen. They went 79-38 for a winning pct. of .675.

Paid attendance was only 28,000+, had to be lot of freebies. Stony said before the game there were around 34,000 in the park.
