Let’s face it, for various reasons the Sox have never been a huge draw at 35th and Shields though I’ve never had a problem with the location. The franchise is one of the few that has never drawn 3 million fans for a season though they came very close in 1991 and 2006. It’s time to look for greener pastures.

That’s the way I’m looking at it and also as a stepping stone to a bright future as I’m sure Getz will improve what needs to be improved as we have a pretty nice core going forward with Vargas, Meidroth, Teel, and Peters and maybe both Montgomerys and Mune. We already have a pretty solid bullpen but Hagen and Taylor could become starters next year so that might change things.

Well it’s a must win for the Guards too and they ain’t the 1927 Yankees.
