Sox @ Tigers Delayed Start on now, Game 2, Avoiding 162?, Burke
Worst owner in the history of the game.

Schriffen speaks...
Tough season for Schriffen but as the season went on I think he improved, the guy is no dummy and will figure things out and will wind up being a more than adequate play by play guy.

I’ve never seen the Mets record as 120-40 -1, I was around but I’ assumed they had 2 rainouts that were never made up. EDIT Just checked with Baseball Reference, they had a game in September with the Astros end in 7-7 tie, game conditions were dry so maybe there was a curfew or a power outage. They also only played 17 games against the Cardinals so the 18th game had to be a rainout that wasn’t made up. They also have the Mets record at 40-120-1. Records are records and when they happened or what era it was really doesn’t matter. That being said some say the modern era was when the American League was formed and along with it came the World Series, others say the modern era started with end of the dead ball with Babe Ruth changing the game hitting home runs like no one had ever seen before.

Win tomorrow and we will have a better record percentage wise than the 1962 Mets. .253 for the Sox, .250 for the Mets, regardless both teams have the 1916 Philadelphia A’s beat who were 36-117 for a .235 winning percentage.

Levine: Possible frontrunner for manager - LAD 1B Coach Clayton McCullough
The connection with TLR might have some bearing and he could wind up managing the White Sox.

Sox Twitter on CNN/Yahoo declares worst team ever
Interesting what Nicky Lopez said, the players will move on and it won’t really bother them all that much especially with the money they make, it’s us fans that will suffer as this year will imbedded in our minds forever. Lopez might be a little upset as he grew up a Sox fan.

9/27 Sox @ Detroit 5:40PM
I have to add the wonderful teams of 1950s GO GO SOX, I was so spoiled growing up with winning baseball from 1952 through 1967, I was almost on suicide watch in 1968 when the Sox had their first losing season since 1950, had a hard time accepting a losing season.

Getz asks for "patience"...
Correct, he’s not doing it on purpose, he’s just not qualified for the job, he put together a joke of a team that he thought was going to be competitive and then when it came time to trade the few assets we had he was fleeced. He should resign after the last out on Sunday. We as fans are done with patience, no more rebuilds, we want the club to be run like a big market franchise, not the Pirates or the Royals, they need to bring in the best GM and manager available along with coaches who know what they’re doing. They also must start spending money and sign free agents while building a viable farm system with good scouts and instructors, not people who are just collecting pay checks, if Reinsdorf isn’t willing to do this then he must sell the club to hopefully someone who will do everything I mentioned,

The Mystery of Luis Robert
Whatever but I’m not changing what I think, I’ve never been a fan of Moncada, I see so much of Moncada in Robert with a lackadaisical attitude especially after another strikeout or a horrible at bat.

The Mystery of Luis Robert
6, but I’m also going with another reason, I think Moncada was a bad influence on him.

9/26 Sox vs. Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 1:10PM - final home game
I don’t give 2 shits about Benetti, only announcer I knew that put fanny’s in the seats was Harry Caray.

9/26 Sox vs. Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 1:10PM - final home game
Right now the Angels might be worse than us.

9/26 Sox vs. Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 1:10PM - final home game
From what I heard from both of them during the announcement was that Schriffen will be back and they look forward to working together again.

9/26 Sox vs. Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 1:10PM - final home game
Hopefully he will be selling a good product in the near future. Back to Stone, just a few days ago he was saying that this year has been a huge strain on him, is there a chance that JR is selling or that he assured Stone that he would maybe bring on some free agents and turn this disaster around ASAP

9/26 Sox vs. Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 1:10PM - final home game
Just announced that Stone will be back for multiple years. Schriffen needs some work but I think eventually he will be OK. I like his enthusiasm.

9/25 Sox vs. California Angels 6:40PM - is today the day?
Beni is making a buck, maybe a bit more, Crochet probably not.

9/25 Sox vs. California Angels 6:40PM - is today the day?
The fans who show up should give the players a break, most of them are minor leaguers who have been rushed to the big club, the others just aren’t good major leaguers, any wrath shown should be directed at the architects of this disaster, Reinsdorf and Getz.

Bleacher Report: White Sox expose MLB's not so secret crisis of bad ownership
JR loves money more than anything.

Buster Olney and Jesse Rogers’s turn ripping the Sox
Some interesting comments and I have nothing really to add except I’m going to mention 3 names that IMHO contributed to a toxic clubhouse starting back in 2021, Tony LaRussa, Yoan Moncada and Tim Anderson. That’s all I have.

Eloy to Baltimore
Too funny, he’s another loser that will probably be out of baseball soon.

Peavy discusses his Soxperience
I agree, something is going to happen, JR has been raked over the coals with his old, ancient and cheap way of running the franchise and not just locally, there have been more than few articles nationally. The man is hated and if he has any pride and shame at all why go on, he’s too old for another rebuild, I think he’s selling, I’m sure the tax genius will figure something out.

Peavy discusses his Soxperience
You can work your tails off until it hurts but there’s a thing called talent and this team might be the least talented in the history of the game, the records of the individual players speak for themselves. I wonder how hard the guy with the most talent works, that’s Robert and he still hasn’t figured out how lay off the low and outside breaking ball, does the guy watch any videos, I will say that Vaughn has done a little better in that regard compared to last year.

I have no idea how any of this gets fixed, new ownership is the only salvation.

Sox fans have seen enough...
As I mentioned recently, the franchise is on life support. There have numerous articles lately on how bad an owner JR is, does the man have any kind of a clue, is he showing any remorse at all, does the jerk have any pride at all. If he refuses to sell then he must change his modus operandi and start spending money on free agents and bring in the best GM and field manager he can find, this OJT must stop. Im sure there isn’t one other team that would have hired Getz, this guy should resign immediately, the guy is a compete joke, a failure who is in way over his head. What other team would have hired Grifol, at least someone figured out that he was horrible. If we see a repeat of this year in 2025 the Sox probably will see the fan base dwindle down to nothing, they can then move their games out to Wintrust Field in Schaumburg where they won’t come close to filling the place up.

Tribune remember 1959 White Sox...
I met Jungle Jim Rivera when I was working the pro shop at the Naples Beach Golf Club about 25 years ago and I remember him telling me how upset the team was that Billy didn’t get a start especially in game 6. Lopez was probably right in not starting Billy out in LA with the Left field foul pole only 250 feet away even though they put up a 40 foot high screen from to the foul pole to beyond left center field. I still think Lopez is the best Sox manager in their history but for early October of 1959, he had a horrible brain fart.
