Brian Anderson was a decent pitcher at Arizona. give him a shot. And where is Carmen Castillo when you need him -- other than at the buffet line?

Saw shelby play. he was rated higher at the start of the season. Started slow, finished strong. hit sixth for a Kentucky team that was a surprise winner of the SEC, but then bombed in the SEC tournament and at home over the weekend in the NCAA tournament. his HR numbers are a bit inflated. Plays in a small park. Kentucky as a team was third in the nation in HRs. decent fielder. good, not great, speed. seemed like a good kid.

Jason Stumm was a power guy -- and he lasted about two starts. Charlotte is playing great -- and has a number of prospects. Winston Salem is very good, also. Birmingham OK. but Kannapolis is flat out the worst team in minor league baseball.

I worry about our drafting. talked to a guy I know from the Sally League last night and he said that Kannapolis, which is something like 12 and 42, is the worst team he has seen in the league in six years and doesn't have a single big-league prospect.

The Reds are down on Ryan Wagner -- and have been all season. Don't like his attitude at Triple A. Say he won't take coaching and some feel he's been pouting because he's not with the big league team. He does have good arm. Maybe Coop could do something with him. What about Heath Phillps at Charlotte? I know he's a lefty, which isn't our main need, but he has pitched damn well at Charlotte all season. Redding is another thought. He's been up and down, but he does have big league experience. as for Center field, I got no answers.

if we beat the Tigers two outta three, we can chill on this thread. until we lose two outta three to the Tribe.

Amen on Anderson. inexcusable fundamentals on not backing up ozuna -- we're talking about Pable freaking ozuna, Brian! -- on the left field muff. two s***ty throws home, one late the other 10 miles over the cutoff man. If he can't play the outfield, he should go to Winston Salem or Kannapolis. Somebody needs to disappear from the clubhouse to send a message.
