What do you guys think of.......
The Cat is a keeper. Solid hitter. Good eye. Plays hard. Can hit high inthe batting order. Just do it.
-
Corey Lidle?
on a 1-to-10 scale, Lidle is a 4 to 4.5. He's worth a look, but he's not worth giving up much for. That's my biggest fear, KW better not overpay for him.

What's up with Ed Herrmann
saw Dick Allen hit a line drive home run into the center field seats below the scoreboard at the old Comiskey. Ball was a rocket. Loved to watch him swing that 40-ounce bat, play the field wearing a helmet and write things in the base path around first base. He was GREAT with the Sox for three seasons. Unfortunately, Oakland was better those three years and we were stuck in their division. As for Ed Herrmann, he was slower than Konerko, but a good catcher, solid clutch hitter and excellent at blocking the plate. Whatever happened to No Neck Williams, another favorite of mine?

Neal Cotts and Mike Jackson
Jackson is a joke. He needs to be released -- yesterday. second worst pitcher in the majors in letting inherited runners score.
-
Jackson
according to a story in the new York times today, he has the second worst percentage in the major leagues at allowing inherited runners to score. It's close to 70 percent/ Heck, he might have taken the lead today. First place, I believe was Mike Stanton

Crede stepping up
crede was very solid in August and September last year hope he can do it again. He is the guy who has the most room for improvement over his first three months of the season.

Let's see how horrid the Trib is on...
I can tell Pauly how his projection is doing -- not very well.

Let's see how horrid the Trib is on...
Let's see if they do a Maggs or Frank Watch, similar to the Jesus watch. don't count on it -- and Prior has a good, good ways to go to have a career that matches either one of them.
-
Brad Fullmer
no to fullmer. rather have an outfielder who can hit some but play very good d if we're going to survive this, it will be with pitching and defense. we're not going to find another Maggs -- unless it's Beltran.

Maggs Back On DL
1. It's a good thing we picked up Everett 2. Let's hope Maggs isn't out for the year. 3. It was Maggs, not the team, who insisted he play RF. He complained about being the DH. 4. Herm Schneider is one of the best trainers in the game. Doctors from the Sox, As and Angels examined Maggs. It's nobody's fault. Just one of those things. 5. It's time for CREDE to start bringing the lumber. Borchard just has to contribute some. Crede has been around for a bit. He needs to do more.

Remind me, when do the Twins go away?
actually, it guarantees them no long losing streaks. He's been the best pitcher in the american league for the last month. Radke ain't bad either. And with Shannon Stewart getting healthy, i don't see the Twinkies collapsing. I HOPE they do. But I'm not counting on it.

Remind me, when do the Twins go away?
If Santana and Nathan keep performing like this, the twins will be there until the very end. book it, danno

I wonder ...
not too many better sights than to watch LaTroy give it up to Pujols in the ninth. LaTroy couldn't close in Minny and he can't close for the Wrigleys. Wonderful to see the Cardinals deliver the kill shot.

A tale of two-ex Sox
foulke was a big baby with the Sox. crying about his confidence and wanting to start. he ain't gonna get Boston to October. and there's no way he's worth $8 million per season for the next three years. Rarely shut down the Twinks when we needed him.

Joe Borchard Optioned to Charlotte
the most disturbing thing about the Borchard situation is that the White Sox haven't learned anything from it. Don't draft football players. They're too far behind on the developmental curve. Yet we drafted Josh Fields and he makes Borchard look like Tony Gwynn. 93 at bats at Winston Salem with 35 whiffs. I don't care if it is his first month in pro ball, that's dreadful. just like Henson, Quincy Carter, Chris Weinke, Josh Booty and all the rest, the college football players just don't get it done in pro baseball.

Joe Borchard Optioned to Charlotte
Like to see Borch stay up and send a catcher down. But if the Sox weren't going to play him, better than he go to AAA and get more ABs. He needs all the ABs he can get.

It's Official, Sox get Everett
The Sox were down on Rauch and Rauch was down on the Sox. Time for a change. they like Diaz better any how. Majewski is guy we traded once and exposed to the Rule Five draft twice (he was only taken once). Obviously, management had severe doubts. So we gave up two guys the administration didn't like to get a guy who helped the team last year. He hasn't played as well this year, but Montreal ain't an easy place to play -- and he's been hurt. he can switch hit, run a little, hit with power and play a little outfield. Final analysis: KW got a guy who should help at a good price by giving up two guys management had already given up on. Sounds good to me.
