Does a perfect game against any AL Central team have to come with an asterisk?

I was just as negative or more so last year. I felt the season was over in May. I was influenced by how dead they looked the second half of 2021 and how lifeless they were even in victories. This year, at least, a few players seem to be on the upswing. If TA can turn things around and get back to his normal self, this could be a fun version of a kinda mediocre team.

The Sox move a lot of guys right after the draft. I believe Burke is pretty advanced for low A, but keep in mind he missed the first month of the season. I think Tatum goes to AA before he moves back to left. His arm is a little weak, but he can play center. His upside is an annoying leadoff guy who takes a lot of walks and battles every ab. He has a little Tony Phillips in his game. That is better in center. Also, if he's a 4th outfielder eventually, you want to prove he can play cf.

Twins lost. 5 out. Every A.L. East team now has a better record than every A.L. Central team. Should be a helluva pennant race.

Birmingham bullpen gives up 2 in the 8th and 6 in the 9th to blow another game. That team is baaaaad.

Have you watched him play? I have. Slightly old for the level, but dominate.Tatum gives you a good at bat every time up. That’s why his obp is pushing .500. Why crap on the guy?

I actually think that Crochet has enough pitches -- his change is better than I remembered -- but it's going to be a lot of innings for him to get anything like command back. He should either be back in AAA getting some work, or be put into lower leverage situations for a while. Frankly, if you're looking to win today's game, Banks might be a better choice for lefty reliever than Crochet or Bummer right now.

I don’t think either Crochet or Bummer is counted on in high leverage. With the game on the line and lefties coming up, I have way more faith in Middleton and Kelly than either of those guys.

Bummer is a real downer.

Coming back from TJS, people always struggle with command/control. Sox have rushed him back to the majors. Letting him work out these kinks in multi-inning stints in AAA would have been better.
