  1. Anyone who has sources inside the organization: please tell them about the existence of the IL.
  2. I am on record as being against trading Colas to get Soto and then not be able to resign him. Baseball America says, here's why I am wrong: https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/teams-rarely-regret-cost-of-trading-for-a-star-position-player/
  3. Fair enough, but the bar to be an offensive and defensive upgrade in right for the Sox is horribly low. If he's a 1 WAR player, I think that's an improvement. Also, I don't believe he's going to keep an OPS of 1.400 going for a month. There will be regression.
  4. Barons win. Colas finishes 3-3, 2HR, a single and a walk. Now hitting .458 with a 1.417 OPS at AA. He's been on fire ever since, according to Barkett, he made a slight swing adjustment. Is it possible, and I really don't want to get my hopes up, that the Sox minor league hitting coaches are actually pretty good? They helped Sosa make a leap and Colas has clearly gotten better as the year has gone on.
  5. Rick Hahn is the only GM on Earth dumb enough to trade a cost-controlled beast for a $550 million beast. I get it, Soto is way better than Colas and the same age. But Colas is going to be quite good. And affordable.
  6. Colas HR #3. He is in beast mode.
  7. What's Liam's FIP v. Cleveland vs. the rest of the world? They wear him out.
  8. Sorry. It's Sunday. Montgomery is off on Sunday sometimes, so it's probably nothing. But I can't unthink it.
  9. My paranoia is that Vaughn, Montgomery, and Popeye are all not playing today. Probably nothing, but it made me go hmmmmm.
  10. Colas HR #2. He is serious about making the majors.
  11. Sox traditionally go for power over hit which seldom works out. I've got my fingers crossed.
  12. Btw, Jose Rodriguez also not playing.
  13. Colas another hit. Now hitting .409, which is Fantastik. Pine Sol.
  14. W-S lost 3-2. Montgomery had the day off and didn't pinch it in the 9th against RHP. Probably nothing, but it does make me go hmmmm.
  15. Bieber seems to have settled down. The way Cleveland has scored on our bullpen, I feel like no lead is safe.
  16. Gladney Grand Slam. That's 16 for him. Lotta righty power in A ball for the Sox. Hit tool is a question mark here, though, too.
  17. I apologize to TLR. Who had Leury and Pollock HRs in Sox Bingo?
  18. Veras with HR #15. The power is real. Questions are hit tool and position. Personally, I believe he can play 3rd, but with Kath there, it's gonna be hard for him to prove it. If he's a 1b/DH, he's really gonna have to hit.
  19. Nice outing for Kelley 4.2IP 4H 1ER 2bb 7K 76 pitches, 45 for strikes. He's been steadily improving.
